Python IPA is a straw coloured, double hopped, original IPA. It provides a strong malty taste with a delicious balance of hops and bitterness. This beer will easily survive the long journey to India. We enjoy it with a curry or a hearty stew.

Pours a clear amber with soft, fluffy head.

Smell is fruity with notes of pine, citrus, malt and some floral hints. A slight whiff of wet cardboard as well.

Taste is fruity but a bit raw with a strong hint of diesel. Notes of pine, citrus, malt and some floral hints. Moderate bitterness. Everything kind of gets lost in the diesel.

Mouthfeel is mediu, well carbonated.

Overall, a decent IPA, but the diesel spoils it.

Bottled conditioned. Light amber with a frothy head. Wispy lacing apparent.
Smells of light citrus hops with a touch of caramel.
Tastes similar. Pithy bitter orange and and somewhat herbal.
Conditioned feel is reasonable.
Rather too bitter for my buds.

330 ml sample bottle, a gift, as Little Valley Organic Python IPA. Brew #207, BB date 19.06. 2011. ABV is 6.0%. Cloudy brownish golden colour, large white head. Strong lemony and acidic / vinegary aroma, also hints of wild yeast / farmhouse. The flavour is very acidic, lemony and vinegary, with a sharp hoppy biiterness in the finish. This is the second beer past its BB date I’ve had from Little Valley, they have both gone sour. Apparently you should not even CONSIDER drinking their beers if they are past their BB date. Will rerate if I can find a fresh bottle.

The colour is pale gold; the liquid is clear. The three fingers head is white and firm. It sinks slowly leaving lots of lacing.

The smell is smooth with bitter herbs, toffee and some forest notes. Flowers and ripe apples in the background.

The taste is very bitter. Semi-sweet cookie and dough. Growing bitter-tart notes of lemon and lime juice. Hints of wet paper and cream crackers. Medium to full body. The aftertaste got growing bitterness, sweet dried fruits, lime candy and a hint of brown sugar. The finish is bitter and somewhat earthy.

The carbonation is medium strong, the many small bubbles are short-lived. The liquid is smooth and a bit sticky.

An OK and rather sweet English IPA.

Python Ipa is a beer with own character. Strongly brewed and good with stake or sausage. Fastly tasting and short of taste.
///////
Python Ipa on olut, jossa on omaa luonnetta. Vahvasti humaloitu, loistava esimerkiksi pihvin tai makkaran kanssa. Maku on todella vahva ja nopeasti maistuva.

Served cool from 500ml bottle into pint mug.

L) Cloudy, mid orange-brown. Fluffy 2cm head. Fairly exciting for the '4 for £6' offer in Morrisons supermarket.

S) I have probably chilled this too much, but rich orange marmalade is right there. Very appetising, looking forward to that first gulp.

T) Very good - a blend of the 'piney' and 'fruity' American IPA hop flavours. A fair bit of bitterness in the aftertaste.

F) A bit of weight to the mouthfeel. Carbonation is fairly low.

O) Well happy with this one, will buy it again.

Hazy dirty blonde with puffy loose white head that crusts.
Flinty cut grain with floral honey and orange marmalade on the nose.
Plenty of biscuit and toffee with some peach then spice and slight orange rind for hops.
Seville orange peel finish and tingly cedar linger.
Light-medium, fizzy, slight cling.

Good body, a sturdy malt backbone and decent hops, surprising citrus and IBUs both. Just don't know what distinguishes it from a top bitter (like, say, Tribute). Flavor's not quite enough for a 6% hit (by British standards.)

Good bitter, below average IPA.

Organic bottle conditioned Yorkshire IPA.

Gently poured into a straight pint glass.

Deep bronze beer with initially no head. However, a soft carbonation quickly forms 1/4 inch of white creamy foam that is retained very well with fine lacing all the way down the pint.

Aroma is of enticing hops, citrus and spice.Soft and silky in the mouth, medium body.

First mouthful isn't as expected, real hit of heavy toasty malt, some butterscotch, a metallic trace, laced with bitterness from the hops. Theres a slight hint of soap suds, but grapefruit and cirtus peel dominate. A pleasant sweetness and an aftertaste of malt lingers.

Very pleasant beer, subtle in its way and definitively english.

A clear amber beer, an off-white head that leaves little lacing.

The smell is sweet, and has a dried tropical fruits quality.

The tastee is also sweet, peaches, apricots, lychee and some grass finish.

Light carbonation, a smooth soft, almost sticky, texture, a big body and a slightly dry finish.

Nice, but for me a bit on the sweet side of perfect.
