Found a bottle on sale, so likely well past prime...

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is amber, light tan head, fine bubbles.

Smell is very pleasant, bready, biscuity, a little yeasty.

Taste is aged, but bready, neutral, a little yeasty.

Mouthfeel is crisp, carbonated, a little drying.

overall a decent brew, but not out of the ordinary flavors or balance.

Mostly clear darker copper, not sure if this would still be considered a Blonde. A head a light lemon shade of cream, fluffy and fine, of decent retention. Smells of caramel, resin, biscuits, esters. Tastes (and looks) like an English Pale to me. Caramel, light almost apple-like tartness, toasty or biscuity notes, and tea, peppercorn, leaf matter, and rind in the finish. Medium-bodied, fine bubbles, sloshy, velvety, moderately crisp.

Bottle to pint glass for super bowl 50. Gold, slightly hazy. Nice white head. Aroma is light yeast, light hops, malt, mold, honey. Taste is veggie, honey, light breadyness.

Unimpressive to start, But I grew into it a bit. Ok.

L: Poured from the distinct Silver bomber into a pint glass, pours a dark gold with a nice white head. a slight amount of lace around the glass

S: A bit of caramel malt and citrus hop, nothing too crazy

T: Semi-sweet malt on the nose, paired with a bit bitter malt, a slight citrus zing as well

F: Rather light, and flat to be frank

O: A mediocre pale ale for an anniversary beer, its stayed intact fairly well for a two-year old beer.

This beer makes me upset. First of all, it has a way higher alcohol content than this website says. I believe it is around 9% in fact, I do not have the bottle anymore so I am unsure. Either way this beer cost me like 25 dollars for only like a 16 oz (estimated) bottle. This is not that good. In fact is worse than most beers I have had in this category. Which by the way, I am not quite sure if this is a blonde. It has a much darker color than a blonde would. It taste like strong ale as apposed to blonde. This beer is not worth the money. It kind of sucks. If you buy it, buy it for the bottle. The beer itself looks nice but that doesn't matter at all when it tastes like a 7 dollar bar beer not a 25 dollar distributor beer. If you got a pint of this at a bar, it would run you like 35 dollars. That may be a bit of an exaggeration but not a large one. If you order this, you are wrong, nuff said.

Enjoyed from the bottle in a snifter. This blonde pours a hazy blondish amber with a firm white head that lingers a good while till it dissipates to a thin layer of foam and a thick ring. Nose of herbal and floral hops, sweet malts, some lemon and apple notes as well. Flavors are up front bitter sweet with waves of sweet light caramel malts crashing into bittering hops with some notes of lemon zest, green apples, and floral hops rounding it all out into a rather approachable brew that finishes lightly bitter and moderately dry. Smooth quaffable mouth feel. Nice.

Opened 1/6/15... seeing as how this was brewed in 2013, it's probably well over a year old. Here we go...

A: Pours a copper color with 2 fingers of fluffy head that slowly fades down to a decent cap that leaves some nice lacing

S: Herbal, tea-like hops and apple stand out the most. Plenty of general fruitiness as well, plus some light maltiness and sweetness. Not half bad given the age

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the tea-like herbal hops plus the apple notes, as well as some grape notes as well. Fruitiness comes in along with a wave of maltiness that provides a light sweetness that cuts the hops. Finishes with a very light bitterness and a bit of a musty quality (my guess is some oxidation from the age)

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: Surprisingly holding up great with the age, which is a rarity with lower abv brews like this. Very drinkable and approachable, with nothing offensive or off-putting. Time to crack it open if you're still holding on to it for whatever reason
