Immediately hit with a powerful citrus hops front that melts nicely away into a sweetness and then fades into a nice bitter end.

I love the tangerines of the pineapple and the tangerine.

Great IPA!

22 oz poured into tulip glass
A Copper color with tan head - great lacing remaining in glass
S Subdued citrus and pine
T - F Medium body - not overly carbonated. Taste as the nose suggests citrus and piney residue on the palate - not overly bitter and well balanced all of the hops blend together in a master stroke of brewing
O A magnificent offering by Rogue

This DIPA is special in a lot of ways. Not just that it's from Rogue's Organic Hop Farm which may be a hop chemistry plantation for all to enjoy.
Seven different hops have created an amalgam of tastes.
Tried this at the Portland Rogue Brewpub before a Timbers game.
With each quaff you could taste something different.
What a brew!
Your Penalty Kicks will hit the net every time when you Finish with one of these DIPAs.
So good I had to get my local Apothecary to get it on tap here in Pennsylvania.
It rocks with seven hops and who knows what they really are-- Rogue lists them as:
(Liberty, Newport, Revolution, Rebel, Independent, Freedom & Alluvial),
I'm going with "Revolution" as the main culprit because the organic farm is paying off for Rogue!

Nice orange/yellow pour, with a medium body and a thick vanilla colored head leaving a trail on the glass. Looks somewhat hazy, but there is a nice mango, grapefruit, piney aroma and taste that the bitterness complements very well. Would definitely recommend and seek again.

Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass out of a 22 oz bottle purchased at one of the USAG Stuttgart Shopette's in Germany.

APPEARANCE – Hazy bright orange in color w/ a thick tan head that produces artful sticky lacing all the way down the glass with each sip.

SMELL – Heavenly strong and spicy hop aromas.

TASTE – Immediately hit with a powerful citrusy hop front that melts nicely away into a sweetness and then fades into a nice bitter end.

MOUTHFEEL – Good full body with mild carbonation.

OVERALL – A rock-solid IPA that I really enjoy and hope to have again - soon!!!

bomber into small snifter glass. production date: december 23, 2014. enjoyed on march 5, 2015

a: a beautifully vibrant, glowing, 95% transparent orange. one finger of bone-coloured head

s: melon, pine, grapefruit rind, ripe oranges, caramel/toffee, and light floral aromas. maybe a pinch of alcohol. smells like a standard, non-tropical c-hop IPA which i love

t: follows the nose. cantaloupe, caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, and pine up front. mid-palate consists of bready caramel malts and lesser ripe orange notes. closes with a medium-ish herbal, earthy, resinous hop bitterness, and a slight alcohol presence

m: medium, creamy, oily body with moderate carbonation

o: a damn good (imperial?) IPA, full of hop flavour but still balanced

Fantastic beer. Looks orange-ish, great head and nice lace around the glass. Beautiful color. Aroma is very hoppy, yum. Mostly floral followed by a little pine. Taste is fantastic. Forward balance hops and malt, not bitter. Great flavor. The mouth feel is full. Covers every portion of the tongue. Slight bitter on the end. Lovely. Bought 27 Feb 16, drank on 28 Feb 16.

Appearance: Cloudy caramel. Lots of froth for head.
Smell: Floral, honey, biscuit, lemon, and pine.
Taste: Just about the same as smell with some pepper. Lots of floral.

This brew was extremely good. Though I love hops, it didn't have an intense punch that I was expecting. Yet, it was a more mellow experience, but incredible. It does have a really great bite towards the end. It's an IPA that I could drink every single meal, give or take the meal. I loved it.

Appearance: poured golden honey with a foamy and frothy head that lasted for a long time after pouring. lots of thick lacing on the insides of the glass. 4.5

Smell: intenst hop boquet. lovely hop aroma but doesnt smell grassy or green. can smell a little of the malt too. 4

Taste: absolutely delicious and complex hop flavor, again without the green and grassy notes and a moderate bitterness at the very finish. backed by a sweet and simple malty flavor. this beer seems like it glows in your mouth during the experience. almost a mint-like sensation. very special. 4.75

Mouthfeel: this IPA is full bodied and has a fairly viscous construction. the glowing sensation is partly flavor but partly mouthfeel as well. this beer has a remarkable mouthfeel. 4.25

Overall: this beer is one of my new favorite IPAs. the hop flavor is great, and I love the minty sensation that this beer provides. 4.5

Appearance: relatively hazy and a color spanning somewhere between straw and a tangerine. Not a whole lot going on as far as effervescence with only a few bubbles here and there congealing around a very fast fading head which leaves hardly anything to glance at in terms of lacing down the glass.
Aroma: DAMN do I love these rogue hops, a very clean pale malt background sets up for the orchestra of all 7 rogues homegrown hops which all compliment each other beautifully. Notes of bright lemony and grapefruit citrus with a complex exuberance I can't put my nose on just think fresh squeezed citrus without any of the abrasiveness.
Taste: tangerines grapefruit the resins in the flavor hops are anything but harsh, at even your average anti hop drinker might enjoy it.
Mouth feel: dare and risk malt offer a clean profile but a big body almost of my favorites of the farms line up and one of the best American iPas I've had good job Johnny boy. Drubk X_x

Had a couple of these last night at The Knotted Thistle here in Regina. Surprised to find something of this quality on tap there. Get it while you can!

Dark amber/orange in colour. Solid 1/8 inch head that sticks around a long time and recedes to a ring only after half the pint is gone. Lots of gobs of sticky lacing down the sides.

Aroma grabbed my attention right away. Really looking forward to trying this as it leans forward with big juicy citrus hops balanced off by rich caramel malts.

Taste doesn't let you down. Very hop forward with some balance through the middle, but the malt can't win this battle as the hops win out to a nice citrus bitter finish. Aftertaste keeps going and going and going. Alcohol character is a little strong for my liking.

Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Very satisfying rich feel left in the mouth.

What a pleasure! I'd drink this again anytime.

taste is great, has a strange taste in it but it's good. a weird flavor hits me smack in the head, almost a bubblegum flavor blue raspberry (very strange indeed). goes down smooth as well.

overall this is pretty good, not bad at all. a full flavored IPA indeed

22 oz. Bomber

Pours a very nice cloudy dark orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, and leaves alot of sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, slight malt note, citrusy, and some nice pine notes. The taste is very nice, hoppy, slightly malty, very nice citrus/pine notes. Medium body, some nice chewyness for an IPA at this ABV, nice dry/bitter finish. Overall a very tasty brew, would buy again. It's been awhile since have last had a good IPA from Rogue.

After trying my first pumpkin ale (a little insipid, disappointing) this one hit the spot much more. Great looking pint poured from a bottle, a full flavoured hoppy paradise.

Bottle: Poured a clear orangey color ale with large white foamy head with excellent carbonation and some good lacing. Aroma of fruity hops with some nice floral note and some light citrus undertone sis extremely pleasant. Taste is also dominated by floral fruity hops with some light citrus notes. Some residual sugar and a limited amount of bitterness. Body is above average with good carbonation. A very nice IPA with lots of focus on fruity hoppy notes – probably one of the best Rogue product from the last 5 years.

Hazy orange pour with clingy white foam - this one’s a looker! Despite the name, aroma is bread and caramel with only subdued floral notes. Flavors are similar - malty with not so much bitterness, but tangy citrus in the middle. Long, enjoyable finish/aftertaste.

I was at The Fridge the other day, dropping off some trade CAN & scouring through the coolers to see what seemed exciting. I have to admit that one reason that I generally do not buy much of Rogue's beers is due to their bomber bottle format. I like drinking & reviewing new beers, but I do not need 22-fl. oz. in order to do so. A 12-fl. oz. bottle is just my speed, plus today has been a steady parade of televised hockey & AIPAs.

From the bottle: "Dare*Risk*Dream". It looks like the label might be made from recycled paper! Cool.

I Pop!ped the cap and despite it being very fresh, I have been performing gentle pours all day with great success so I am not going to change now. A swirl in the glass raised a finger of foamy, tawny head with good retention. Color was Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with button brightness. The earthiness of the hops on the nose put me in mind of a wet-hopped AIPA or an EIPA. It had a fresh mint smell, like herbs right out of the garden. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy. The taste was really minty, but very mellow in terms of its bitterness. Compared to some of the AIPAs that I drank & reviewed today, this was like hop tea. Understand, I mean that in a good way. It was not overly bitter, it was clearly hopped, but it had a mellowness that was unexpected. Finish was semi-dry to dry. I really kind of forgot that it was relatively high in alcohol and just kind of reveled in the clean, mintiness of the hops. Once again, if only they would put this in a CAN ...

Clear orange-golden, nice head that leaves gobs of lace.

Vague pine and citrus smell.

Subtle pine, followed by caramel malt, orange peel, mint, and grapefruit. Delicious.

Slightly resinous, but not overthick, goes down easy.

I was quite impressed by this. A very nice mix of flavors, very thirst-quenching. The best IPA I've had in quite awhile.

I bought several 22 ounce bottles of this at Total Wine. Excellent balance of bitterness, sweetness and delicious alcohol. Color is very attractive. A nice copper golden hue.

Smell is very fresh and citrusy. Fresh is the overriding factor for this beer. Very pleasant on the palate. Not cloying.

Overall, this is an outstanding double IPA. Combined with the fact that everything is grown by Rogue, means I will be buying this until the supply runs dry.

This beer has a unique melon/soapy smell which I liked. Taste was a very good west coast IPA flavor. I wanted the beer to finish a little drier but it was still good. Pleasantly surprised by this beer at a weekly tasting, bought a full glass because I liked it so much. Dont bother trying to clone this beer, Rogue uses BS proprietary hops and grains to hide what they use.

Bomber bought for $6.99 and poured into a shaker pint. No bottling date is a bummer, but it was new to the store, and my store doesn't receive old brews, so I'm fine with that.

Appearance: Slightly hazy orange with a creamy three finger head that stays around. I didn't pour all that aggressively, yet there was still a huge head on it. Rings of lacing. I see no reason at all not to give this beer a 5 for appearance, because it's seriously perfect for the style.

Smell: A lot of hops, but also a lot of malt -- biscuity with candied fruits. A lot of bursting grassy hops in this one with citrus, peach, and the like. There's a bit of a tropical fruit aroma, but nothing in particular. Those seven hop varieties make for a fairly unique smelling IPA. Very fresh aroma, and it makes me want to take a sip really badly.

Taste/feel: Man, that's just a super tasty beer. It's fairly rare that I have myself a malty tasting IPA that's actually more bitter than it is sweet. The grassy flavors with spiciness and bitterness from the hops, burst of peach flavors that add sweetness, a citrus sort of tartness... it has a fantastic, and quite frankly, pretty unique blend of flavors. There's a bit of a bittersweet battle at first, but the finish is more bitter than your average IPA. The feel here is pretty good for the ABV -- about medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Aftertaste has a distinctively malty and "spicy" hop flavor.

Overall, it's comical to me that, while this beer has seven different varieties of hops per tank, Bud Light probably literally has... seven hops per tank. I am incredibly impressed with this beer, feel it's one of the best IPAs I've had, and it's one of Rogue's finest.

First of all, the ABV on this beer is 7.77% according to the bottle from which I drank it. That being said this is one of the best IPAs I've ever had. Perhaps I'm biased because I love rogue beers, but this was a perfect blend. When I say perfect blend I'm referring to the balance of malts, hops, and carbonation. A lot of the time IPAs are overly carbonated and that makes them somewhat hard to drink. In this case, this one was smooth and tasty. I believe it's better than an okay beer. I would go as far as to say it's fantastic. I would and most definitely will have it again.

Amber orange body, cloudy, ample khaki spume

Smell of bready caramel malts, mango, pear, grapefruit spice

Tastes of tropical hops, no bitterness or alcohol. Hints of caramel, grapefruit.

Smooth feel, medium body, light fine grained carbonation

A fully enjoyable, complex beer with none of the weightiness or bitterness I might expect from a beer this strong.

Pours an opaque deep orange with a large head. Leaves pretty good lacing.

Very sweet fruity hops on the nose, but still has a dry pine lingering in the background. The 7 hops complement each other beautifully on the nose. Really smells amazing.

Taste is another story. Maybe 7 hops is too much, but this IPA doesn't seem to have an identity. Not to say that it's bad. Up front is citrus hops, not a lot of bitterness at all. The pine and bitterness are fighting for attention with the citrus, but losing. Not bad, but with 7 different hops, I suppose a lot of the flavors are overshadowed by some others. As an IPA itself, it tastes good.

Very smooth and full with medium carbonation.

Overall this is a very solid IPA. Very drinkable, but a bit lacking in bitterness for a hophead like myself. I expected more diverse of a hop profile but mostly got one or two flavors. I do recommend trying this because it is different.
