This beer is just so rich and nutty. I only have 1-2 bottles at a time as it's a special flavor that needs to be savored when your taste buds are ready for action. And there's coffee too. It's just an excellent beer. You could pop this one open at breakfast and drink with your pancakes. Seriously.

L : Pours a light chestnut color with hints of cola, and forms a tea-like body with 1 finger of rooty head.

S : Pure hazelnut bliss. A hint of coffee bean and cashew behind it, along with a jar of assorted grains and some musty brewery air.

T : Hazelnut comes first, but in a 2-D, non-sweet way; firm nuttiness and cashew follow, with a spread of roast malts and toffee. It ends as it starts, semi-sweet; not quite as musky and upfront as hazelnut, but more smooth and subdued like toffee.

F : Lots of soda-like carbonation, with a semi-dry, slightly chalky finish. I could have done with a smoother feel overall.

O : Hazelnut Brown Nectar may be the best Brown Ale on the planet. It's delicious, not too overly sweet, and does what it advertises. It's an enjoyment, much like a Heath bar. Try it, you'll like it.

Look: brown, with some head but not much, and not that good head retention.
Smell: Full of hazelnut taste.
Taste: Very nutty, a lot of hazelnut. Not too sweet though. Also, a little bit watery for a "nectar". If left out a little bit, the hoppiness starts to come out more.
Feel: Light-medium body. Some hoppiness aftertaste.

Drank on draft and poured to a teku glass on Cerveteca, Lisbon.

A: The body is black to brown with a beige head that has no retention. Lacing is non-existent. Yet, the body appears to be great, more like a coffee based beer with less opaqueness.
S: The aroma is filled with hazelnut. This could be great if the phenolic and alcoholic profiles didn't show up here. As a "fruit beer"/Brown Ale, I want it to be less alcoholic than the aroma tells me.
T: This is clearly a problem for me. The taste has clearly two very different and very distinct profiles: hazelnut (obviously) and malt. But these two appear to just make a weird combination. I'm not very fond of this flavor.
M: The mouthfeel is medium to high. The end of the sip is not bitter nor very sweet. It's kinda mid-way between both but a bit more salty.
O: In general, I believe that hazelnut should be saved to use in the real world in other appliances. Not beer.
