A: Rich deep red, pretty transparent, with a beautiful fluffy white head. Retention is great and lacing is nice! Great looking beer.
S: Very very tangy - grapefruit, nice bitter hops, and undertones of a little brown sugar and sticky malt.
T: Like the smell, like drinking grapefruit juice with a little orange kick, backed by bitter northwest hops. Not too sweet/cloying at all - perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness - the hops make it pretty bitter, which I like. Alcohol is definitely noticeable, but I only tasted it after swallowing. Also some smoke/roasted malt flavor after swallowing. Really good - this one is on my buy list. (Oooh! The burps taste good too!)
M: Astringent, as it should be. Carbonation great, medium-bodied, smooth going down. Not watery at all. Very well-rounded.
D: Doesn't seem like it would fill you up too quickly, and it's actually a very refreshing beer to drink. The alcohol content is just right if you want to put down 2 or so and still drive. A nice job all around!

12 fl. oz. bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. Deep copper colour, nice and creamy head. Lovely aroma of American hops. Hoppy flavour, notes of Scotch orange marmalade and malts too. Very nice beer!

Comes in closer to light brown in the middle and only red toward the edges. Still relatively pretty, thin 1/3" off white head. Aroma was impressive for a red ale, was actually hoppy just as much if not more than the red malts coming through.
Taste was a nice hoppy, pine contribution, bitterness is sturdy, yet not oppressive. Its a good hoppy red. Its not exactly cheap, but its better than their bomber format pricing at least. Caramel more than toffee in the malt notes. Not sweet. Just about straddling that second and first tier hoppy red ale divide.

Disappointing. Tastes like wet cardboard.

Not much in the nose, but great taste start to finish. Compared to the Ninkasi Red, this wins, no contest.
