Bottle from Albertsons. I’d been avoiding Rogue, for no apparent reason. This is a pretty solid IPA. Medium amber, slight haze, instant fluffy head. While the hop aroma comes on strong, the malt backbone I s still in evidence. Same with the taste. Hops up front, malts in the middle, nice stinging finish. Tasty, but with a potent hops kick.

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish head tulip
L: Nearly clear golden amber pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Great lacing.
S: Caramely malts with piney hops and citrus.
T/F: Follows the nose... caramel sweet malts and toasty grains. Well balanced hop bitterness. West coast evergreen/pine.. resinous.. milder citrus and light stone fruit. Some herbal/earthy character. Medium bodied... sticky on the tongue.
O: A really good DIPA from Rogue... and I didn't know that they knew how to do an IPA this well. Strong work!

Sometimes u can just overdo something. 8 hops dont add to the complexity of the flavor. All you taste is hop and bitter

L - orange/amber opaque with a thin white/light tan head that sticks around and leaves some lacing behind.
S - piney hops, slight aromas of citrus, and nice amount of malt. The smell isn't too strong though.
T - follows the nose: piney hops and a good amount of malt, along with notes of citrus and biscuit. A little bit of earthiness as well. A slight twinge of alcohol flavor on the back end - not off putting but slightly noticeable.
F - medium to full bodied with a light to moderate amount of carbonation. Thicker, smooth, and creamy.
O - This is a pretty nice IPA. Nice hop notes along with malt, citrus, biscuit, and earth. The creaminess and fuller body are notable but otherwise, nothing really sticks out and makes this one "special" to me. Definitely a really good beer, a really good IPA, I'd have it if it was on tap (depending on choices of course) but otherwise nothing that makes me want to go out any buy another.

Interestingly to me, the 4 hop (4.44% ABV), 6 hop (6.66% ABV) and 8 hop (8.88 ABV) were priced exactly the same where I bought it. Opted for the cheapest per unit alcohol, apparently.
Look is amber color, cloudy as h*ll (might be dry hopped, yes?) Pours a lovely just off-white head, remarkably creamy and long lasting.
Smell is big malty and slightly alcoholic, more sweet than hoppy. Definitely smells like a big beer.
Taste is malty and rich but not overly sweet. Hop flavors a bit more of the earthy/piney variety, and a bit more subdued than I expected. Gently bitter in the finish. Overall a pretty smooth drinking DIPA, and fairly balanced.
Medium-full body, medium carbonation. No astringency, a bit of restrained alcoholic warming.
Overall is very much in line with the style - big hops balancing out huge malt. Though not great, this one is more in the style of my liking, as it seems unified. Not a big slug of malty sweetness and a biting hop bitterness on the back end - this one is more balanced.

From Elcervecero. In Teku glass. Playing Always the Same Blue Sky. Some pine and, above all, plenty alcoholic, so much that a bomber became too much for my head. Heady.
