Pours a hazy golden-straw color with a good creamy white head that doesn't last very long with some lacing, grassy and flowery aromas. Bready, cracker like flavors with a mild sweetness that turns hoppy and bitter with some dryness in the finish. Medium bodied with a soft but crisp carbonated mouthfeel, very clean and crisp, very nice.

Appearance – This one showed off a medium but very retentive white head in keeping with the style. The body is a bright orange or maybe even orangish-gold in color. It sure looks like a German Pils.

Smell – The Sterling hops mix well with the malty backbone.

Taste – This is nice. The malts are a bit big for the style but have that “Graham cracker” flavor so desired from a good German Pils. The hops are slightly grassy but very crisp and clean.

Mouthfeel – This is in fact medium-bodied as the bottle suggests. It is very crisp and clean and refreshes the palate.

Drinkability – This made for an excellent “first beer” of the day. It’s balanced and very well put together.

Pours a rich deep golden hue with a smallish white head. Very nice carbonation - the bubbles keep coming for a very long time after the pour. Nice crisp, clean aroma of spicy hops and German yeast. Beautiful, rich palate of fruity hops, tempered by a light maltiness and a touch of fruity yeast. Flavor mellows into a slight hoppy bitterness towards the back of the mouth. Mouthfeel is wonderful - smooth, slightly creamy, and a tad buttery. Wow, if it weren't for the $4.99 price tag, I'd drink this every day.

Pours a dark golden colour with a decent white head. Smell is not much. A bit bready with maybe a hint of dryed orange peel. A little buttery, but not oft putting. Taste is smooth and crisp nice and round at first. Finishes dry and hoppy. Not as hoppy as the Moto Pils, but its nice more manageable. Good carbonation. Very smooth. Its an Uber Pils not an Imperial Pils. So dont go looking for huge blast of ABV and hops might need to look else where. Drinkability is good. Some have said its like a Macro with more hops.. Pisshaw I say. This has far more flavour and is what a nice Pils should be

Beautiful looking beer here. Clear & golden with a nice cascading head as I pour. The 1/2 inch white head holds steady. The aroma is very inviting, with lots of citrus rind hop aromas and a sweet maltiness backing this up. Quite interesting taste here. This reminds me of "Budweiser meets Hops." There is a real heavy underlying macro lager type taste here, only with some hops thrown in for flavoring (not bitter) The two tastes clash more than anything - this is not a happy marriage. Also a distinct heavy diacetyl flavor in the aftertaste (which I honestly don't mind). Mouthfeel is nice & slick, but the all over the place taste of this one puts a big damper on the drinkablity

...perhaps Dominion has spoiled me....

Poured out a nice golden color with a nice head that laced the glass.

Smell was wonderful. Nice dose of hops with a underlying flow of malts which balance the beer out.

Taste was great. Big hops explode on the palate, great spice and grass notes, with a touch of earth in as well. Malts come in the middle, but only to make an appearance and nothing else.

Mouthfeel was medium with a good check on carbonation.

Wow. What a great german pils. This one could go head to head with germany's finest for sure. Too bad there was only one bomber at Half-Time.

Pours a clear gold colored beer.

Smell is spicy Saaz hops all the way. Pleasant grain scent and an earthy aroma from the hops.

Taste is a bit sweet with the Saaz hops on your tongue from the first taste. Spicy and a little bit of sourness from the hops are the main flavors here. Ballsey use of the hops here, sort of a Czech version of a hop monster. Fairly bitter aftertaste that cleans the palette very well.

Mouthfeel is good.

Very drinkable, but this isn't just another lackluster Pilsner from an American brewery. This is a Pilsner that hasn't been dumbed down and throttled back on the hop levels. I could drink a lot of this if it were a bit cheaper. For the price I don't want another Pilsner Urquell imitator; I want something that is bigger than that. This is most certainly "Bigger Than That."

Presentation: 22 oz bomber - painted label. Description of the beer on the back, including ingredients. No freshness info or ABV. "Dedicated to the Rolling Thunder in each of us."

Appearance: Clear golden color with a huge billowing white head. Good head retention, lots of lacing on the glass.

Smell: Nice sharp aroma with a bit of hops and a nice maltiness.

Taste: Very smooth mouthfeel - low carbonation level. Nice hops bitterness throughout with a very good finish.

Overall impression: Great example of the pilsner style that is slightly hoppier than most. Very nice drinkable - quite tasty!

Sampled from a 22oz bottle 1/14/05. Appears a crystal clear straw yellow with an inch high head of white foam. Spotty lacing was left around the glass as the head dropped quickly. Aroma is crisp with spicy hops and a nice doughy malt backbone. A good amount of earthiness from the hops was present. Biscuity malt with spicy hops hits you all at once on your first sip. Notes of floral hops are there as well. Ends with a bitter spicy hop bite. Mouthfeel is about medium and fairly crisp. Pretty good Drinkability as well. Overall a nice example of the style.
