black stone 22 oz. bomber poured into a pilsner.
glugs thick and pitch black into the glass. over an inch of medium brown head, foam capped off with bigger bubbles. leaves great lacing as it falls.
mainly sweet aroma, cocoa and sugar with a hint of sappy, piney hops and espresso.
taste is more bitter than expected; sweet, chocolately raisins in the mouth but washed over with bitter, resiny hops in the aftertaste. thick, syrupy mouthfeel with a touch of carbonation. assertive beer, but very drinkable (until the 10.5% kicks in).
