2001 version
Appearance: Black gold texas tea. Dark brown head, with great head retention. Nice rocky head, about as dark brown as a head could possibly be.
Aroma: Raspberry chocolate in the aroma. Obvious fruit in the nose. Excellent aroma.
Taste: Roasty dark bitter chocolate flavor. Bitterness long lasting and lingering. Coffee roastyness with spot on carbonation. Great mouthfeel. Slight sourness on tip of tongue.
Notes: Very good stout. Bitterness lasts across the whole tongue. Bitter chocolate fans should enjoy. Homemade rasperry ice cream has met it's ideal beer.
