Very Good
Batsquatch Hazy IPABatsquatch Hazy IPA
Notes: Tropical juicy IPA using Mosaic, El Dorado & Belma hops

For years, rumors have circled that deep in the woods on Mount St. Helens lives the fabled Batsquatch. While there are many tales of Batsquatch, they are all a bit hazy on the details, which makes the truth such a juicy mystery. So what better way to honor the elusive legend than with a hazy IPA? Perfect for camping and potentially making a new friend. This juicy, cloudy IPA features intense tropical flavors and aromas.

Bottom stamp: canned 07/03/2019 18:31:15

It pours a murky light orange, dark yellow, has a firm and long lasting head of foam.

The smell is very dank and fruity with some orange/pine undertones.

The taste is a danky fruity tropical piney with a refreshing mango pineapple aftertaste. I must say the first can I had paired with steak, the second with a chicken/rice dish and it wasn't that good. The third can was with a spicy sweet chili chicken wing. So for this one, I recommend pairing with a sweet/hot dish!

The mouth feel is good and juicy.

I'm starting to like this one more and more. The can says to pair it with white cheddar, grilled salmon or strawberry shortcake - so be careful and try it with different foods....

12oz, canned on 05/24/2019. Hazy tangerine colored ale with a super foamy ivory colored head. Aroma is muted with some citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors are bolder: fruit cup, pineapple, pear, peach, mango, apricot. Fuller body, creamy & smooth, modestly bitter finish. This was hood and quite refreshing, but it's unlikely that I'd get it again.

Hard to pass on a NE style IPA from Rogue, especially with the awesome label art.
Pours hazy apricot, nice lacing, aromas of tropical fruits, mango, guava, light citrus. Taste more of the same, with some lingering resin. Creamy body.
Very nice, even if not as extremely juicy as some East Coast versions

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. CANNED ON 05/11/19 printed on bottom of can. So this one is only a month old, and so relatively fresh. Picked it up at the grocery store for $2 for a single can.

Appearance - Pours a creamy offwhite head that strongly maintains its shape, like the head of a root beer float, but tighter. Great retention. Thick, semi-loose lacing with decent stick. Completely opaque pale orange body, but is a deep, medium dark orange with backlight. 4.75

Smell - Dank, rounded fruit body like orange with a brighter pineapple like hoppiness on top. 4.75

Taste - Delicious. Well balanced. As with the smell, has both bright citric tones atop a rounded, full body. 4.75

Mouthfeel - Full bodied, bold and filling, yet clean and refreshing. Faint astringency builds up in the finish but not enough to detract. 4.5

Overall - Delicious, balanced, well rounded, interesting, and perhaps even sessionable depending on your mood. 4.5

Sems underrated to me. Similar to
IPAs i had at Tree House since i live in MA. NE IPA cloudy look with a modest head but a wonderful tropical fruit salad aroma. Outstanding delectable smooth balanced taste with little bitterness- one of The best IPAs ive tasted and went down so perfectly.

Ultra-milky orange sunshine body, excessive silky off-white head with ample lacing. The nose smells of plastic, pine, and general fruit salad, heavy on honeydew. Taste has some fruity tropical impressions, moderate to strong bitterness, some pine resin, a bit of wheaty malt. Feel is nice- soft and pulpy, full bodied, assertive but non-aggressive carbonation.
I had high hopes for this based on the Rogue brand and alluring artwork, but smell- and taste-wise it was indistinguishable from a host of other hazy IPA's. Enjoyable, flawed, expensive, unabashed.

Poured from a single-serve can into a tulip.

Pours opaque/cloudy. A shade darker than yellow, but not quite orange or gold. A nice dense two-fingered head that is foamy and creamy.

The aromas are rather down the middle for the style for the most part, although there are hints of "dank" hop that are more present than the norm. Orange, mango, and pineapple notes forward, with hints of lemon and white grapefruit. Nice aromas but muted and a little muddled.

The flavor is initially rather sweet, with juicy orange flavors on the tip of the tongue. Sharper citrus flavors cross the mid-palate, although they lack any distinct flavor, along with some pine hoppiness. Resin and dank meet up with white pepper, white grape, and grainy notes at the end, along with a hint of booze, all of which help offset the initial sweetness.

The brew has a nice balanced drinkable presence, with medium body and excellent carbonation. The dank hops and hints of alcohol provide a nice drying finish for a brew that initially presents somewhat sweet.

Overall, a good expression of the style that showcases a bit more bitterness than many NEIPA's.

Boom! (or roarrr or grawl or whatever sound a batsquatch makes...) Great graphics! Great haze! Great zesty, tropical aroma! Great taste!
Very much like the cream of your beloved New England style hazy IPA, makes an unforgettable impression with both the looks and the aroma - and it even seems to keep the same standard with the taste.
Of course, though this might be a mythical character, we are mortal beings - and thus we should not expect a perfect creation. The flavor drops a little of its intensity halfway through tasting and becomes a bit unexpectedly sour (or purposely tart?) Also, as a NEIPA it just can’t bring that much uniqueness and personality, as the intensity of this beer style simply doesn’t leave much room for adventure - or, on the contrary, you might want to think of it as an adventure into the realm of hops. Up to you.
I am not crazy about NEIPAs, appreciate the good old West Coast IPAs much more, but even though I expected a bit more from Rogue (for being an outstanding brewery) I liked this beer, think it was quite good - as most NEIPAs would be...

Definitely tropical and a bit juicy. I don't get much in the way of piney hops. It's very soft feeling on the palate which is unexpected.

Solid NE IPA and I am getting a lot of orange pineapple in the taste.
