Very Good
Batsquatch Hazy IPABatsquatch Hazy IPA
Notes: Tropical juicy IPA using Mosaic, El Dorado & Belma hops

For years, rumors have circled that deep in the woods on Mount St. Helens lives the fabled Batsquatch. While there are many tales of Batsquatch, they are all a bit hazy on the details, which makes the truth such a juicy mystery. So what better way to honor the elusive legend than with a hazy IPA? Perfect for camping and potentially making a new friend. This juicy, cloudy IPA features intense tropical flavors and aromas.

12oz, canned on 05/24/2019. Hazy tangerine colored ale with a super foamy ivory colored head. Aroma is muted with some citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors are bolder: fruit cup, pineapple, pear, peach, mango, apricot. Fuller body, creamy & smooth, modestly bitter finish. This was hood and quite refreshing, but it's unlikely that I'd get it again.

Tastes absolutely nothing like an IPA. Tastes more similar to a Miller Lite or Coors Light. The photo of the beer on the company’s website is what they wish their beer looked like. Nothing like the haziness they show, nor the color. Bad beer.

Hard to pass on a NE style IPA from Rogue, especially with the awesome label art.
Pours hazy apricot, nice lacing, aromas of tropical fruits, mango, guava, light citrus. Taste more of the same, with some lingering resin. Creamy body.
Very nice, even if not as extremely juicy as some East Coast versions

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. CANNED ON 05/11/19 printed on bottom of can. So this one is only a month old, and so relatively fresh. Picked it up at the grocery store for $2 for a single can.

Appearance - Pours a creamy offwhite head that strongly maintains its shape, like the head of a root beer float, but tighter. Great retention. Thick, semi-loose lacing with decent stick. Completely opaque pale orange body, but is a deep, medium dark orange with backlight. 4.75

Smell - Dank, rounded fruit body like orange with a brighter pineapple like hoppiness on top. 4.75

Taste - Delicious. Well balanced. As with the smell, has both bright citric tones atop a rounded, full body. 4.75

Mouthfeel - Full bodied, bold and filling, yet clean and refreshing. Faint astringency builds up in the finish but not enough to detract. 4.5

Overall - Delicious, balanced, well rounded, interesting, and perhaps even sessionable depending on your mood. 4.5

I like this. Not full blown hazy IPA but abundant papaya and mango. Missing the cattiness of some which is a plus for me. Lacks the hop burn of some in this style too.

Brings a lot of positives to the profiles without many of the negatives I'd personally found in this style.

Super hazy juicy ipa. Tons of mangos and orange on the aroma. The flavor is straight up juice, not much else. Tons of tropical fruits, orange mango, some melon. There is a slight crackery maltiness, but honestly this is a straight juice bomb.

Appearance: Very Light amber/ gold ,white foam with yellow hues. Heavy retention

Smell: Heavy dragonfruit, guava, mango, pear, pineapple. Very tropical, really enjoyed the aroma

Taste: Papaya, guava, pineapple, banana. very similar to aroma but with hoppy notes sprinkled in there. Tropical honeymoon wore off fairly fast for me and I started to tire of the juice bomb nature. Has that classic chemically rouge taste that i cant put my finger on

Mouthfeel, light carbonation, easy on the tongue.

Overall: They aren't lying about the tropical elements of the beer. Couldn't have more than 1 or 2 in a sitting but still very interesting and worth a try.

12 oz can with a 15 November 2019 canning date stamp on the bottom.
The cloudy golden body is topped by a durable whitish head.
Complex fruity aroma with alcohol esters.
Mild bitterness and flavor strength for the style. Juicy with a multitude of tropical fruits.
Appropriate medium carbonation but the body seems too thin.
