Nice deep gold with a white head. The smell is sweet and fruity and reminds me of orange and pineapple. There is also a pine scent in the nose as well. The taste is malty sweet with an orange zest flavor and a hint of caramel. This is washed away by the quite bitter pine resin taste from the hops.

Quality beer. Had no really high expectations for this one, but this surprised me in every way. 4/5 at-least and will recommend this one to friends. Good job Rogue.

im a fan of Rogue beers in general, but this one was disappointing. They definitely weren't kidding about lingering bitterness but overall not memorable due to flavour. I would not recommend this to any beer drinker.

Pours a medium-light orange with a finger or so of tight, white cap that dropped to a thin sheet of bubbles. Slightly cloudy with a little lace.

Aroma has a sour, lemony aspect that I didn't really like/wasn't expecting. There is also just a touch of funk that seemed out of place. I like more grapefruit or orange and some pine in an IPA. The aroma wasn't awful, but below average imo.

Taste has a lemony and fruity pinch offset by a faint bready sweetness. A bit sour. Red grapefruit shows up late with an acrid hop bitterness that lingers.

Medium to full bodied that finishes dry and semi-sticky. Carbonation is good.

I'd put drinkability at average.

A rather run-of-the-mill IPA from Rogue. It's decent, but I'm not sure I'd seek this one out again. Perhaps if I knew it was fresh.

Bomber #2 shared by cbutova.

Hazy orange with a 2-finger white head. Good retention and decent lacing.

There is barely any hops in the aroma, smells like white snow and a cow in a field if you stood about 50 ft away. One of the most boring IPA scents I've experienced.

Mostly earthy, slightly piny and floral in the hop department, but the toasty malt is the highlight for me. English IPA-type flavors going on. Light fruit sticks around as it warms.

Decent creamy body but carbonation seems uber-high, foams up quickly in your mouth, this feels like a bigger IPA than it is (I would've guessed 7-7.5 abv)

Pretty good evenness between hops and malt but balance is pretty wacky. This really wasn't too bad of a beer but the smell brought down the score. That being said, plenty of IPA's out there I'd rather have.

Really nice floral hop aroma and lots of fruity fermentation esters. I get some caramel malt underneath all that.

Deep golden with a big white head that ends up a solid layer of foam that leaves amazing lacing. But it is kind of cloudy.

Fairly high hop bitterness right off. More good floral hop flavor that's well balanced by caramel and base malt sweetness. The aftertaste is very fruity with some bread yeast flavors too.

Medium bodied but the carbonation level feels a little flat for me.

Very nice West Coast IPA. Not really a hop bomb but definitely more hoppy than many IPAs. This is totally worth a pint or three.

Pours a bright, cloudy yellow color with about one finger of fluffy white head.

The scent is of strong citrus and floral hops.

The taste is again of strong citrus, some notes of sweeter fruit maybe apple, also moderatley bitter floral hops.

Medium body, very smooth and dry feel, moderate carbonation.

I thought this was an above average IPA, very easy to drink. I wouldn't mind having this again.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a gorgeous hazy bright orange, great fluffy whiet head that sticks around with sticky lacing. Phenomenal looking IPA! The aromas are more subtle and not as aggressive. I'm picking up some orange and pine. Maybe some fuggle hops? There's a breadiness to this one. Also a touch of caramel. The flavors pretty much match the nose. Very bitter and dry. Fruity, but not juicy. Once again, pretty dry. Mouthfeel is light, smooth, and creamy. Nice amount of carbonation. This is borderlining what I've come to expect from an English IPA.

I guess this isn't my favorite hop profile, but this one is well crafted and I'm sure will make people happy.

Smells of strong grapefruit hops primarily, with a light, but still tangible sugary maltiness underneath.

In the mouth, there's a definite and immediate shock of grapefruit-bitter hops, which comes as no surprise, given that this is an IPA. However, the hops in this brew had a different taste for me than what I expected: still bitter, yes, but instead of resembling biting into the pink part of a grapefruit, this more reminded me of getting a big chunk of the white fleshy rind. Contrasting this was an equally powerful layer of sugary malts--and to give you an idea of the amount of sugars needed to make this layer at all noticeable, note that there are three kinds of malts in the mix. The result, on the malt end, was a sweet, fruity layer with apricot and flowery notes, as well as light caramels and toasted grains.

Overall, I found this to be an interesting mix of sweet and sour notes, each of those almost at opposite ends of the scale (in terms of what is possible in beer). Some might find the result overpowering and unbalanced, but I thought the diametrically opposed notes played off each other well.

A-Copper tinged golden yellow with a thin white head that left spotty lace.

S-Surprisingly mild floral aroma with a bit of citrus thrown in forgood measure. A hint of sweet biscuit malt supporting in the background.

T-Sharp citrusy and floral bitterness up front with a light sweet biscuit malt profile holding strong in the background.

M-Medium-light body finishing very crisp. Long lasting bitterness.

D-Quite nice. A bit lacking in the nose but the strong hoppy bite in the taste pulls this one out of the doldrums.

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Cloudy orange with giant, white, rocky head that lasted a long time. Good lacing.

S: Citrus hops. Mild.

T: Light sweetness and solid bitterness. Citrus and subtle floral notes. Some toasted malt, but mild overall.

M: Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Slightly warm going down.

O: Not a bad IPA. The nose and taste were a bit mild.

A: Looks great, with a good amount of lace trailing down the glass.

S: Was expecting the aroma to be down a bit, coming from the other side of the world... not much like an IPA more like a regular APA in the aroma department. Wish I could get this a touch cheaper than $15 for a 750ml, cause I reckon it's become a regular.

T: Good smack of bitterness. Got some great stone fruit flavours coming through with the blend of Amarillo and Willamette. Wasn't sure about that blend, just 'cause I see the Willamette as a little more English in style (fuggles) and the Amarillo a massively strong American flavour hop.

Will get again on a special occasion. right up my alley this...
