Saw this at the store the other day, and it called to me. I'm not sure what to expect as the label is in Japanese.

Pours a slightly cloudy orange/amber with a big fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and floral hops, a bit of a mineral smell as well. Not much going on really in the nose. Taste is a little better with some sweet malts caramel and bread mixed up with some floral hops and that mineral tartness. Sparkling carbonation, sticky mineral-y mouthfeel, medium body. I'm not sure how old this bottle is or how it came to be available for sale in NH, but I bet its not as fresh as it should be. Nothing objectionable here, but really not up to what I consider the norm for Rogue.

I guess this bottle is a little old? considering it's really not that bad for the age. Bright orange color, white head, malty slightly fruity and vinous aroma. Creamy medium body, lots of wine like notes, grapey, a little medicinal and grassy . Has a very unique peachy flavor to it overall, but pretty good.

I just read this brew only happened once. How I came to one in 2014 was interesting, and I wasn't even looking for it.

Nose: Raisins and minerals

Body is a cloudy orange, and the head quickly reduces to a quarter finger after a gentle pour.

Taste: Lemons, apricot, grapes, and oranges. What I really love is the grapefruit finish, with a odd mineral bite at the end.

Mouthfeel: Just right!

Overall, I'd say this was a good find. It's still odd that I found one now.

A: The beer is very hazy copper in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high beige head that consistently covered the surface and left a coating of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: There are moderate aromas of caramel malts in the nose along with some hints of fruity yeast.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has a very slight amount of bitterness and some hints of malty sweetness and toffee.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: Although this beer seems quite malty and flavorful for an ESB, it is rather drinkable.
