This one I've been looking to try and find for awhile and I finally got my hands on one. For a 22 oz. it was $11.99 so I expected a really solid beer.

Pours a black color. Smells heavy chocolate, hence the double chocolate flavor. A little hint of coffee. Tastes very smooth, very creamy. I absolutely enjoyed it, especially at 9% abv. A great dessert beer. Wish it wasn't so expensive but that's Rogue, hence why I didn't think it was 10/10. Other than that it was everything I expected.

L - Deep black with a silky tan head that leaves behind a good amount of lacing.
S - Rich chocolate with sweet roasted malt
T - Decadent. Chocolate throughout paired nicely with sweet roasted malt. A mild alcohol presence on the back end but barely noticeable. Some hops present but in my opinion barely noticeable - this one is all about the chocolate and malt.
F - Medium to full bodied with a mild amount of carbonation - smooth, but not as silky smooth as others in this category such as Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout.
O - This is a fantastic chocolate stout. Rich chocolate flavors with roasted malt and a mild hop and alcohol presence. Definitely a dessert beer but a great beer nonetheless.

L: Super dark black and thick looking, with a inch of tan head that sticks.
S: Chocolate and not a lot else going on.
T: Bitter chocolate taste with barley and hops.
F: Very thick and smooth, good feel
O: Very solid double chocolate stout, but the smell is a little disappointing.

A: Pours a pitch black motor oil looking substance. Highly viscous with a wonderful and smooth creamy tan head. Granted, that's as far as I can take it with this paper cup, except that it does leave a nice lace.

A: Smells a bit like German chocolate cake with a hint of cherries and a somewhat noticeable alcohol presence.

T: Taste follows with chocolate, toasted almonds, extra roasty malts, burnt toast, dark fruits, and some alcohol again.

F: In one word; decadent. In more than one word; smooth, rich, velvety, creamy, full bodied, again with the alcohol warmth.

O: This is a great stout. With the alcohol presence dialed down, this might be an exceptional chocolate stout.

Look - pitch black with a one-finger mocha head with little retention or lacing.
Smell - chocolate really shines, almost like cocoa powder was dumped in the beer, there's also more subtle notes of sweet roasted malts.
Taste - roasted malts hit hard, bitter coffee, and notes of sweet chocolate.
Feel - good carbonation, slightly thin body, sticky mouthfeel.
Overall, I'd like more chocolate in the flavor profile and for the body to be thicker/chewier as opposed to slick and thin.

Pours black with small, thin, short lived brown head. Light lacing

Dark chocolate, roasted caramel malt and cocoa powder

Roasted sweet malt, dark chocolate, hints coffee. Finishes semi dry with lingering Bitter chocolate. Heavier side of medium body. Medium carbonation in my opinion slightly to much

I love this beer. Smells like nesquik, actually tastes like it too. Like a wonderful stout mixed with a whole box of nesquik. Thick. Nice malt. Midnight black. Nice coppery head and lacing.
