Pours dark black with a one finger tan head which fades quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is pure chocolate. Smells like a Hershey bar.

Tastes sweet with dark chocolate, and roasted malt which provides some bitterness for balance. This tastes much better than Rogue's rather bland regular Chocolate Stout, which has very little chocolate flavor.

Medium bodied with modest carbonation, and a chocolate aftertaste. The alcohol is well disguised, I can't even detect it at all, and this is a 9.00 abv beer. A very nice effort by Rogue. Worth trying if you get the chance.

Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a medium tan/brown head.
The nose is like a fresh baked chocolate cake.
The taste is very chocolatey and has sort of a toasted characteristic to it but finishes with a bit of a bitter hop bite.
I'm not huge on chocolate stouts but this is far and away one of the better ones I've had. Great nose, taste to match, not overwhelming. Rogue just knows what makes a great stout or darker ale.
