This beer pours a clear golden color. White 1 finger head. Retention is good.
The nose is minimal and very faint. Slight bread is all I get.
Taste - I get a toffee flavor. It's fairly sweet. Not too pleasing for me.
Feel is decent bodied.
Not something I would like to try again. Just not for me.

The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden yellow with a soft carbonation rising into a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving some neatly coated looking lacing. The smell definitely had the German pilsener malts making up the majority of the aroma but still letting in an adequate amount of sweet bread. The taste was mainly the same with a decent quick crisp sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and pretty good to me. Overall, pretty nice and easy going pale lager easily had with it's respected food.

Impressive pour, has a 1" white head, golden liquid. Minimal lager yeast sweetness to the aroma.

Floral hopped, mixture of pale malts and wheat, even some crystal to heft it up relatively speaking. Thought the carbonation was a little underdone for a lager. Floral earthy noble like hops. Slightly bitter.

Can't really think why I would ever want to drop $7 for a bomber of this ever again when I can get other lagers of similar quality for a 6 pack for that price.

I bought a bottle of Rogue Irish Style Lager in a bottle shop. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a pale gold color, shiny and clear with a small thin white head.

Smell is lager-like, cereal, floral perfume notes with hint of nail polish

Taste is a faint biscuit flavor upfront, with some bitter dandelion and rose flavors on the finish.

Mouthfeel is in keeping with the style, crisp and clean.

All in all a good lager. I'm not much on the style and generally prefer the citrus of an ale to the floral character of a lager. But it's good.

Very easy to drink but relatively plain/bland for what I've come to expect from rogue. That's the style though I guess. $3 for a 22 isn't a bad price.

Pours to a rocky white head and gold color. Aroma is grainy and toasty and not much else. Flavor is mild and easy, just what you expect for style. Good lager.

Served at the brewery, it was delivered to the table well above 50 degrees. For me, there was a little too much DMS (canned corn), but a good representation of a Lager Style. Clear, golden, light head that dissipated quickly, rich and medium bodied for a lager.

Would have been better cold.

Poured from a bottle into pint glass in March 2015.

Appearance: Medium gold, with nice thick and light colored head. The head lasted a very long time, and left a little coating on the inside of the glass.

Smell: Sweet, with just a little hops bitterness in the aroma. Pine aroma dominates with a little earthiness. Typical lager aroma.

Taste: An interesting mix of hops, spices, herbs, and a little sweetness in the flavor, that make for an interesting lager. There is a nice after-taste, that lasts for a while but not too long.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, with a medium body and medium carbonation.

Overall: This is an interesting lager. There is a variety of flavors.

On tap at Rattlr n Hum, NYC. Nice. All one could want from a lager. Cosmetics aside this really hit the spot. Major plus was texture & the lingering aftertaste. The dryness is just right. Why on earth does it only have a 41 rating from "the other guys"? I'm in on this one.

For the most part, it looks, smells and tastes like a high-end AAL.

Truthfully, there is less of a corny essence than in most AALs, but the corn is still annoyingly there in the background. Also, the hop character on the back-end makes it mildly more enjoyable than an AAL.

Pours a light orange with a yellow hue and a small white frothy head with notes of grain malts, floral hops and a mild hint of caramel. It starts off with a grainy, malty, caramel taste, and then is infused with a nice floral hop presence towads the end. I found it to be rather tasty with a decent body and better than most Pilsners I have tasted... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Golden beer with a creamy foam leaving moderate lace. Light grain and malt nose. Crisp flavor, faintly citric and lightly butter with a mild grain and malt backbone. Medium body nice carbonation and substantive mouthfeel. Finish is clean. Easy to drink.

I enjoyed this 22oz bottle chilled in a mug.

The color is golden with light chill haze and thin white head with fine bead after settling with visible carbonation, retention is great. The smell is slightly sweet with gentle floral hops with a grain aroma augmented by light yeast ester. The feel is full, creamy body with medium high carbonation with moderately sweet texture and low bitterness with semi-dry finish.

The taste is veery nice with creamy malt and light hop with floral sweet quality and mild yeast adding a creamy taste with mild hop bitterness to balance the malt sweetness which is toasty and light with a low alcohol flavor if any in the taste mostly herbal hops in the finish. Overall excellent lager in the general sense a bit generic however it is slightly more hop flavored than your average 'Harp' or whatever is sold as Irish Lager. Very drinkable yet still has a goodly amount of flavor for a 4.6% lager and it fits the style well.

Poured from a 22oz. Look, very thick light head with earthy golden color beer. Smell, rough and loud at first but softer after that. Taste, very good floral tasting. Feel, thin and lingering. Overall, would love it to feel and taste thicker but I liked it.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, grass, and slight fruity flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the smell on this one is slightly better in my opinion.

22 oz bottle was poured into a nonic glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a golden yellow color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Toasted, bready, cereal, pale, lager yeast, herbal, and grassy hops.

Taste: Same as above with traditional lager bite and some bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium to full bodied, a little chewy, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Pretty standard Euro lager. Definitely drink when nice and cold on a hot summer day.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a pint glass. Rogue is a reliable brewery so this undated bottle is probably past its prime.

Appearance: Pours lright yellow-gold with plenty of rising bubbles. The white head is good sized and durable, slowly fading into a thin top layer. Leaves decent lacing.

Smell: Some off or unattractive notes from Euro hops.

Taste: Better than what the smell hints at, this is a relatively robust and earthy lager. Mildly bitter, lightly hoppy finish and aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate-high amount of spft carbonation. Crisp and smooth.

Overall: Not a strong style and one of the least attractive offerings from Rogue.

Had on tap. This missed the mark for me. Clear straw body with very little bubbles. Smell was macro adjuncts with grass, slight hops, and lemon. Aftertaste has gross sour lemon and bitter, grainy hops overpowering all other features. Before the finish it is standard euro macro. Feel has grainy complexion with acidic edges. Not a do over

Pours a richly dark straw hue, a bit hazy. Minimal foam (although I poured softer than usual, so that may have been my fault). Aroma a bit grassy, but couldn't pick up too much else due to the improper pour. Taste of cereal grains, biscuity. Nothing complex or layered to my palate. Bit of a hollow mouthfeel, crisp with a dry finish.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright straw golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Solid two fingers of white head which slowly fade into a thin creamy layer. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

Smell: A crisp and bready malt forward aroma with good hints of biscuit and earthy hops. Upfront pale malts with hints of straw, grains, biscuit, crackers, toast, and wheat. Earthy Euro Noble hops along with some hints of grass. Fruit hints of green apple and lemon. A nicely bready and tart aroma.

Taste: Like the smell hints at, a crisp, bready, and toasty malt forward taste with good notes of biscuit and earthy hops. Pale malt with upfront notes of biscuit, straw, grains, toast, wheat, and cracker. Earthy and herbal hop presence with notes of Euro Noble hops and a little grass. Fruit taste of tart green apple, lemon, and orange. A solid Euro style lager taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and very smooth. Fairly drying.

Overall: A pretty solid take on the Euro pale lager style. Nice biscuit malt taste with some good fruit notes.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on June 8, 2013.

The pour is a heady straw yellow with lively carbonation and pretty good clarity.

Aromas of pale malts, toast, biscuit, sugar sweetness, and a crisp hop character. It just smells clean.

The body is light to medium with a keen smoothness.

The taste is vibrant with pale malts, sweetness, with an low to moderate bitter finish that lingers and coats the back of my throat. It meets the test of the style I believe.

From a 22 oz bomber to a pint

A: The brew displays a clear, lager-style straw-yellow, with a slight golden hue. On a gentle pour a sudsy, 1-inch head forms that never fully recedes, sticky lacing everywhere.

S: Gentle nose with touches of earthy vinous hops at the front, a crackery, slightly sweet malt note wraps the bouquet.

T: Really singular flavors as the bitter and sweet aspects are barely distinguishable. Grainy, buiscuity malts quickly converge with a tea-like hop-dryness, revealing a cracker-like profile. Touches of citrus and white pepper add a layer of complexity, but just barely. The finish is remarkably succinct with almost no residual flavors.

M: Light-medium body, foamy for the style. Lots a carbonation in this brew, on a couple of sips I thought it was a nitro-tap.

Rogue has been disappointing in many of its recent offerings, but not here. This isn't a style that I'd clamor over, but I'd drink this brew whenever it's offered.

A: The beer is relatively clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of pale malts and yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and seems like a "light" version of Czech Pilsener with notes of pale and grainy malts plus a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and seems to be a lot more flavorful compared to other beers in the style, especially since there are no adjunct malts. It was a nice selection for an unseasonably warm spring day.
