I feel this could have been a bit better, but not too bad for an American pils. Average crackery aroma and taste, veru grainy, not enough snap in the hops. Decent body and finish, nice pour

From notes taken 03/24/16:

Unfiltered, hazy, chunk-suspended clarity, bright straw gold, with fluffy, fine, chunky, uneven, muffintop-looking head of off-white. Surprisingly good retention. Smells like lemons, biscuits or crackers, yeast, metal. Mildly bready-sweet, cleanly citric, very crackery, grassy, grainy, even a little boozy. Faint melon or cucumber-like notes. Floral bitterness throughout, almost rindy or soapy. Medium-bodied, dense with not quite fine tingly suds, crisp and fresh. Tastes like a German as much as it does a Czech.

2011 vintage. Rating set to current average.

Aroma is lightly sherry, with cracker malt.

Flavor reveals substantial dyacetyl presence, with a hint of sherry and a crisp, fairly bitter finish. Flavors didn't jive well together.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma had a grass smell with bread and hops. The taste was mostly yeasty bread with hops. Overall, this was slightly better than average.
