Big aroma of coffee and roast with saline notes of oysters.
More red-brown than black with a smooth tan head. Okay head retention.
Roasty coffee notes with a touch of nuttiness. A bit of toast comes through the finish.
Medium light body with low carbonation. This is smooth.
A decent Scwartzbier. I like the nutty notes but it lacks a bit of x-factor.

A: Pours a deep opaque brown with a big bubbly tan head. Decent retention. Some lace.
S: Smells of buried coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and licorice.
T: Very earthy, grainy taste. Predominately roasted malts with coffee coming on stronger towards the end. Peaty and bitter chocolate finish.
M: Medium bodied. Little to no carbonation. Chewy linger. Little too watery personally.
D: Nice beer. Doesn't make you feel like you've just eaten a meal like some heavier dark brews do. Still, not quit inspiring enough to make a regular.

Dark cola brown with a frothy, creamy-tan head. Good retention. Earthy, dirt nose with coffee, roasted bitterness, and licorice. Medium roasted malt flavors, light tobacco, faint licorice; very earthy, like a peat bog. Decent bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied, dry finish. A little watery perhaps. Not bad.
