Had this beer while living in Tonga during the mid 1990s, coming in brown and green bottles. According to the brewery's internet archived webpages from June 1998 it was the Bronze Medal Winner at the Australian International Beer Awards 1997. Not sure how possible that was. It was not a very good beer, but was much less expensive than Fosters or XXXX. Also according to the archived webpages: "Royal Ikale Export Beer is a South Pacific style beer made with Pilsner, Crystal, and Dark Crystal Malt. Royal All Malt Premium Beer is a natural product, produced in the tradition of the German Rheinheitsgebot Beer Law of 1516 with Malt, yeast, hops & water only."

All in all, an unremarkable beer but great nonetheless on hot Polynesian nights. After I find an old label, I will upload it for posterity.
