Just happened to be in the beer shop when it was delivered best by 12/01/18 yeah hardly doubt that since its an IPA but should be wonderful now.
Pours a deep murky tangerine color with a nice fluffy thumb sized cream colored head that falls slowly and laces very well.
Aroma is wow very fruity tangerines, pineapples front and center mango, peaches and others underneath all mingled together. Juicy fruit bubble gum of IPA's. Malt base is nice sweet almost like honeysuckle. Not sure if I am just in the mood for this one but having a hard time remembering another IPA with this much tropical fruit notes, damn. Not really bitter smelling just fruity as hell.
Taste is well sadly a notch down from the nose, but considering the nose is near perfection a notch down is still very nice. Good malt base that is lightly sweet honey notes, good fruity notes tangerine, pineapple, mango the whole tropical Citra hop fruit thing going on. Fruity hops flavors but bitterness is also present with lingering herbal spice notes more so then the citrus bitterness that is hidden underneath. Good flavor, very good beer wouldn't mind kicking back a few of these but since I paid $7 for this bottle so don't see that happening.
Mouthfeel is nice approaching full and seems a little creamy even with the slightly peppy carbonation thanks to the oats I guess.
Overall really enjoying this one kind of sad that my glass keeps getting emptier, might have to pick up another couple of these even with that price tag just to see if my mouth was biased today.

Dark bronze with speckles. 4
Honey, booze, and limeade. 3.75
Caramel, red grapefruit, red hots, and Cointreau. 3.5
Chalky end.
Medium, sticky, hot. 3.75
Smells stale. Citra can be delicate, but this ain’t. Burns, too. A bully. 3.75

330ml can - last week, it was all the variably hopped session IPAs, and this week it's the variably hopped DIPAs. Good move, Alberta import agent.
This beer pours a dark, murky apricot amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some layered broken chainlink fence lace around the glass as it lazily blows off.
It smells of grainy and doughy caramel malt, thickly pith-strewn orange juice, some muddled tropical fruitiness, a small hard water flinty essence, and zingy leafy, piney, and perfumed floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and bready caramel malt, orange, lemon, and lime citrus rind, earthy yeast, damp Pez candies, and more testy leafy, grassy, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly inert in its barely-there frothiness, the body a solid medium-heavy weight, and generally smooth, with maybe a soupcon of alcohol ingress taking things down a notch or so here. It finishes off-dry, the mixed fruitiness, lingering malt, and hovering booze making for familiar company.
Overall, this is a pleasant enough version of the style, as, once again, the Citra varietal has proven itself worthy of going solo in any sort of IPA. Big and juicy, and just a wee bit warming, which works oh so well on a September day that falls decidedly outside of the whole concept of 'Indian Summer'.

A 330ml can with a best before date of 15th November 2017. Poured into a Mikkeller tasting glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark golden orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had decent retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Orange juice, lemon, pine and caramel with hints of mango.
Taste: Bittersweet tangy citrus fruit, orange rind, biscuit malt, toffee and hints of honey.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This was nice and enjoyable to drink. Second favourite to Mosaic, and much better than the Cascade and Simcoe versions.

330ml can poured into a snifter.
Very hazy golden orange color which is almost NE like, the pour builds up very thick creamy off-white head that withstands with good retention before slowly subsiding to a long-lasting bubble patch atop and leaving lots of lacing patch and spot.
Very fruity and juicy Citra aromas of tropical, strong citrus, lime, lemon rind, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, lychee, earth, resin, and some spice. Malt is sweet candy-like, caramel, syrup, and bread.
The taste is nice with loads of tropical and fruity paradise of strong citrus, lime, lemon rind, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, lychee, earth, some spice, and persistent resiny bitterness. The overall flavor is intense with hop but same time being balance by malt with its sweet candy, caramel, syrup, bread, as well as some smoothness and sweetness. The end and aftertaste is wrapped up and lasting with upright bitterness and some fruitiness.
Medium body with smooth mouthfeel and moderate to some lively carbonation through the palate, the feeling is crisp, well-rounded, and refreshing with a very dry finish.
Citra is always ones of my favorite hops when it comes to IPA. This one as well with alcohol perfectly concealed making it so drinkable.
