330ml bottle poured into a snifter.

Black as night in color with no real head formation but just some tan bubble film popping up on the surface and then quickly vanished, some sticky lacing patch and spot appears along the glass-side.

In a nose, it is so rich and mellow with coffee, dark and creamy yet milky chocolate, cocoa, big punch of vanilla, caramel, licorice, dark bread, roasted, some smoke, charred nuttiness, and toffee. The Slyrs barrel-aged is being nicely complement with its honey, spice, oaky, and dried-fruit in kind of dark cherry and citrus through the sensation.

Still I repeat like the original Beer Geek Brunch Weasel, the more the beer settles itself, the more deliciousness that you will get, thus, enjoy it slowly. The coffee profile is still very intense and tasty with only slight astringency like a roasted coffee bean. Chocolate and cocoa too as well as solid malt bill with notes of dark bread, charred nuttiness, roasted, some smoke, vanilla, and caramel. Licorice too, together with a rich barrel character that yields notes of slight honey, spice, oaky, and dried-fruit in kind of dark cherry and citrus.

Full body with some stickiness but not that cloying, smooth through the mouthfeel from relatively low carbonation but it is crisp enough to carry all the things well. Finish is very dry and pleasant.

The barrel-aged profile here is really presented in good shape to add more complexity and harmoniously balance with all those roasted, chocolate, and coffee characters. Truly great brew.

330 ml bottle.

A: Opaque. One finger high of head.
S: Thyme. Roasted coffee. Slightly woody.
T: Intense chocolate and caramel. A little pepper spicy. Medium sweetness. Medium low bitterness. Oaky (Whiskey) aftertaste.
M: Full body. Low carbonation. A little too thick.
O: Amazing big stout. I think it will be even better if aged for additional 3 years or so.

Looks like an end of the day beautiful one head mocha head.
Smells lactic, with lots of caramel, coffee and earthy tones. I think the taste follows but with more than that. Notes of woody vanilla and molasses are present.
I think i just had a very nice breakfast this evening :D

A: deep black, a bit thin looking, capped by a decent mocha head.
S: chocolate, vanilla, peat, some coffee, very nice.
T: chocolate and Barrel forward. Sweeter than the bitterness of the coffee in other versions, but very well balanced and well wood aged.
M: Medium bodied, fairly low carbonation.
O: best of the breakfasts or brunches out of several so far.

Bottle. The becalmed appearance of these should not surprise me by now. Otherwise a very fine brew.
