New Beer Sunday beer. Poured in the closest to a goblet I have, as expected for this beer. Pale yellow, just a hint of haze. Two fingers of head.
Aroma less than expected, would say yeast dominates. Quite interesting anyhow.
Sour taste, also some sweet. Lingers far back for quite a while, can't specify that taste, bitter/sour?
Mouthfeel light/medium, not as much carbonation as expected. Something about it is very proper.
Overall I'd say it's an interesting experience, probably my first Berliner Weisse. Maybe I should check it another time and see if there's more citrus in a fresher specimen?

Pours a hazy yellow color. Small head. Quite a bit of lacing.
Smells of sweet malts, lemon, and some distinct yeast notes.
Taste is similar to the smell. The sweetness of the lemony-laden citrus comes through quite a bit. The yeast is still there, but less distinct which I consider a good thing. Carbonation is very (ie. overly) prominent. Frankly, this might as well be soda.
I have a hard time disliking this beer, it's just very transparently a near non-beer. Tastes like a diluted radler.

The smell is very sweet with notes of orange candy, honey flavouring, spray paint, coriander, hot peppers and sour milk. It is not very inviting.
The taste is sweet and worty, but the passing bitter hops and lactobacillus sourness saves it from being just carbonated syrup. Some fruity notes in the background. Medium body. The aftertaste is tart-sweet with some artificial honey and a hint of yoghurt. The finish is sweet with floral notes.
The carbonation is medium to strong; the midsized bubbles are short-lived. The liquid is semi-smooth.
A Berliner weisse with excessive sweetness, it feels almost like drinking syrup.

As the thirst for sour ale continues to climb,, the brewing team of Mikkeller shift their focus to the quick, succinct and simplified taste of Berlinerweisse to satisfy the taste for those who favor the pucker. Laced with peach and engulfed by the pure intrigue of lactic fermentation and a unique flavor is born.
With a standard canary-yellow pour, the volumnous froth that builds thereafter is much more of hefeweizen than of the spritz and quick-dissolving action of the northern German sour. Tart in its scent, lemon, lime, green apple and gooseberry follow and with a musten hay and cork scent. Sweet grains, wheat and faint sugar cookie lay on the early palate with a pleasant sweet and tart interplay that's sprinkled with powered sugar.
Shedding its kindness, those malty introductions sell short as the middle palate celebrates a sour lemon and lime medley with those not-so-subtle hints of sour green apple, white grape, under-ripened berry, and additions of acidic peach trend deeper into the dry and sour taste of lactic acids. But holding onto a firm biscuit, wheat and bready sweet body, the sourness is tempered and dampened somewhat.
Medium-bodied for a sour ale, the beer's acidity and texture is much more in line with gose than Berlinerweisse, however without the floral coriander or salt additions of that Leipzig style. Without these complements, the peach character adds its own pleasant acidity but lacks the roundness that gose provide. As a Berliner wheat beer, it simply lacks sourness and dryness.

Pour is a semi hazy straw yellow, big two fingered frothy head with a considerable amount of lacing. Smell is hints of Brett funk foward, subtle peaches and lemon zest. Nose is a little muted. Taste consists of more of a fruit delicacy, getting more of that burst of peaches, lemon zest and orange peel. Subtle hints of belgian like yeast with some Brett funk. Mouthfeel is moderately thin, medium carbonation. Easy drinker, nothing too complex. Not bad at all.
