Aroma of sweet, dried, dark fruits: most noticeably figs, but also prunes. Rather Quad-like. Nice.
Taste is similar, with Mikkeller's ubiquitous use of rock candy in their Belgian Ales present.
Dry finish.
High abv is there but not overpowering.
Decent beer.

On tap at Mikkeller Bucharest. Hazy plum color with a bit of beige foam. Aroma has a nice bourbon/toffee like sweetness with dried fruits in the background. Taste is sweet, fruity, sugary but also quite boozy. Medium body and carbonation. It has nice flavors but it's quite boozy and difficult to drink.

On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.

Deep amber copper hue, it comes with thick light tan head that withstands with good retention before slowly sinking to a long-lasting bubble sheet on the surface and leaving numerous lacing wave all around.

Obviously grape and barrel as well as spice, the wide aromas reveal with notes of dried-fruit, big caramel, candy sugar, molasses, fruity ester, lots of peppery, bread, vanilla, and some sort of sweet enticing element.

Sweet caramel and candy sugar in the lead together with the warming touch of alcohol, it is so sweet overall but there is good leverage by rich spiciness, fruity ester, dried-fruit, caramel, toasted biscuit, bread, candy sugar, molasses, slight hop bitterness, as well as grape and barrel profile.

Rather full body with some crisp and moderate carbonation through the palate that is well enough to carry all the things well under the smooth mouthfeel, finish is very dry.

So complex brew, it is mostly sweet but not that cloying as there are many characters to keep it in good balance and tasty, worthy without doubt.
