Pours a hazy straw yellow with billowing dense meringue white head that settles slowly leaving a thick sheet of lace down the glass. Smell: wheat cracker, straw, floral and lemon notes, a little sour-ish stone fruit. Taste: peach in syrup, lemon, green apple candy, note of snappy grain, finally hitting the apricot stride in the finish. Despite the massive head, this variant doesn't have the creamy heft of the peach or passionfruit versions. Best by 1/03/18.

Poured into a stange.
The appearance was a semi-glossy pale yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation seemed super light, barely there and filled a two finger white foamy head that felt off fairly slow and left some bubbles here and there.
The aroma blended some sweet to tart apricots coat some lemon pulp tart to sweet qualities. Slight soured wheat, but super light. Some grassy whiffs.
The flavor seemed to blend in a bit more tart and sweetness than expected, but I didn't mind that. Some sour hints penetrate. Some sticky sour apricot to lemon aftertaste. Not much of sour-ed wheat.
The mouthfeel was medium bodied with a fair refreshing aspect about it. Carbonation felt a bit under but wasn't too bothersome. There was some sweet to sour to tart clenching pucker but also a bit of stickiness.
Overall, for a Berliner Weisse, I found it odd to have as big of a head as it did, but the aromas and flavors seemed to come across fairly nice. I'd have again.

A: Poured into a nonic pint to a slightly hazy straw yellow topped by a dense and rocky three finger white head that is very slow to fade and leaves decent lacing and retention.
S: Smells of lemony tartness, creamy wheat and some apricot notes.
T: Taste is light tartness with some cracker like malt and creamy wheat followed by some really nice apricot flavors. Swallow is more creamy wheat and lemony tartness with some nice lingering sweetness from the apricots.
M: This beer is fairly light and refreshing on the palate with slightly prickly carbonation that may be a bit too vigorous. Pouring this beer was a slight challenge. The beer has a drying finish as well which is nice.
O: Overall this is a pretty solid beer with some nice flavors. Not the most complex thing out there but most berliners are not. The fruit addition does a nice job of cutting down on the tartness and providing some really nice complementing flavors. Definitely worth a try if you like berliners in my opinion.

16oz can from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 4.99. Canned 1/3/17. Served in a Terrapin goblet.

Pours a soft, pale, muted straw yellow with well over five fingers of frothy white head. The foam slowly fades to nothing.

The nose seems subdued. Muddled whiffs of sour pale malt and some vague stone fruit.

Flavors of pleasantly soured malt, apple skins and faint apricot. Far from the very fruit-forward blast I look for in fruited Berliners but still easy enough to drink.

Light body with abundant carbonation. Fairly generic Berliner finish with only a slight note of pale stone fruit.

This particular iteration of Ich Bin is fine but just not quite on the same level as other variants. It might be time for me to admit that I can forgo future Mikkeller Berliners. They have all been good but few, if any, have been a good value.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a pale yellow color and a cloudy texture. There was a massive, creamy / rocky, long-lasting head. Excellent lacing. A good-looking beer.

S: A nice aroma of apricots, wheat, apples, and some light spices.

T: Tasted of a bit of wheat (not as much as you would expect from this style of beer), a little pepper, a moderate amount of apricot, green apples, citrus (lemon), and a funky quality. A light, fruity flavor with a subtle quality that works in its favor. Tangy and delicious.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light-bodied.

O: For the most part, this is a solidly made, very easy to drink beer. A great hot weather beer.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 3/1/2018. Pours lightly hazy pale golden/straw color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with insane retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tart/sour lemon, lime, apricot, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, light lacto funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, apricots, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart/sour lemon, lime, apricot, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, light lacto funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and light yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, apricot, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, light lacto funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, apricots, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation and acidity/tartness, increasing through the glass. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and creamy/grainy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.7%. Overall this is a delicious fruited Berliner weisse. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, apricots, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellow acidity/tartness. Nice well rounded lacto/yeast complexity; with nice fruit presence and malt backbone. Was expecting more acidity/sourness similar to the rest of the series; but there is still a solid amount. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Poured a slightly hazy, golden yellow color with a small, bubbly, head of foam. It smelled slightly tart with some sweet apricot rind. Tart and sweet with a mild apricot flavor.

Poured from a tall can into my tulip.

Look: My wife remarked that my beer looked like a "science experiment." I wouldn't say that is necessarily a disaster, but this head is really out of control and not receding. Fluffy and pillowy but not in a good way. Body is a light straw/yellow Gatorade color.

Smell: Lemon and fescue grass. Some aspirin-y lemon/lime pith notes.

Taste: Lemon, peaches, mangoes; I guess some apricot since that's what the beer is named. I find a lot more lemon/citrus notes. Crisp, citrus soda finish.

Feel: light bodied plus due to the head that won't go away. Makes it harder to drink.

Overall: Decent selection but I definitely prefer the Raspberry version. This beer's tartness doesn't compliment the body well.

Can. No super enamored with this one. Poured like a nuclear weapon. A tilt of the can jostled the weapons-grade load of foam. Aroma was tart but fairly nondescript. In the flavor, I did not get apricot.

anyone who has every visited my page on here must be well aware of my penchant and affinity for mikkeller beers, any and all, as evidenced by the several year old 2% abv beer i raved about some years ago now and countless other misfit beers they make and i seek out, but this one just doesnt live up to my own lofty standards, and frankly is a weak link in an otherwise lively and delightful series. white it appears soft and heady like bubble bath, it smells like stinky rushed bacterial grossness, forced and not at all like the others, which while acidic and tart, were also much cleaner than this, like a hamper at a gym or something that needs to be emptied, possibly into the incinerator. bacterial sure, but not right for me, and a mess for a berliner. some white wine in the nose and taste too, but its hard to look past the sloppy souring part. the apricot almost doesnt even appear until the finish, where is only adds a little sweetness and maybe a trace for the fuzzy exterior of the fruit, but thats me looking to redeem a beer i dont like very much. its fizzy and frothy and upbeat on the feel but it tastes and finishes like bile or vomit, and i just dont dig it like i have the others, and the lack of apricot is not to blame. utterly disappointing, and i will not finish the rest of this can, as much as it pains me to say that, its going down the drain...

Aroma is apricots, wheat and big vinegar. The flavor is apricots, wheat, a smaller metallic hint and a mix of tart/slightly dry and vinegar in the finish.
