Look - brown in color with a slight ruby hue, khaki head, and decent retention and lacing.
Smell - hops hit hard in the form of citrus and pine, but these aromas transition into coffee, chocolate, and sweet caramel malts a second later. The nose on this is really impressive and complex.
Taste - again, hops are super strong, especially for the style, with citrus and pine notes dominating. Nothing else really hits, but there are some underlying notes of caramel and chocolate lingering in the background.
Feel - good carbonation, medium body, and slightly creamy.

33cl bottle. Clear dark ruby-brown pour with a medium height beige head. Notes of citrus hops, metal, lightly roasted malts, some pine hops, light dark chocolate. Medium body, high carbonation and a bitter, refreshing finish.

750ml split three ways last night, reviewed from phone notes.

A - Nice auburn color with a bit of haze and bright red highlights. Big ol sticky beige head retains most excellently, no less than a solid finger and leaves tons of lace too.

S - Decent mocha presence, definitely well-hopped with citrus, herbal and pine popping out. Some dark fruit, rum raisin and a roasty burnt wood feel.

T - Brings on alot of hops and roast like the scent but certainly a more clashing mix here. Chocolate and caramel malts with a good dose of earthy pine hops, light citrus, and bitter roast. A bit of a smokier feel here as well.

M - Pretty decent body, good amount of heft and highish carbonation, an acceptable malt presence but dry and bitter for a brown ale.

O - This grew on me a bit with warmth and time but I do wish the malts were more expressive with the hops and perhaps the roast toned down. Hints of those nice big brown malts were in there but overall this was a bit on the harsh and clashing side.
