11.2 oz bottle into a wine glass. From yesterday.

A: Pours a pitch black color, and it looks thick as hell coming out of the bottle. There's a thin tan collar that actually retains well for a collar, and leaves behind a ring of lacing.

S: The coffee notes, while subtle, are amazingly defined. There are some nice oaty and powdered chocolate qualities behind the coffee, along with some vanilla.

T: I loved the aroma, but it's nothing compared to how it actually tastes in the mouth. At first, the coffee comes through subtly, with a finish of vanilla and oats. After a few sips, it becomes stunningly chocolaty - this is the most chocolaty non-chocolate stout ever. Some dark fruit notes come out after a while too. This is so rich, yet so balanced and so complex. Holy frig.

M: Make no mistake, this is a full-bodied, silky smooth imperial stout, just like it should be. And yet, the finish is just dry enough to give it surprising drinkability. Carbonation is quite low. It's both decadent and borderline REFRESHING at the same time - how is that friggen' possible?

O: I'm absolutely floored. It's incredibly rich, decadent, balanced, warming, and refreshing all at the same time. Shame it's so expensive...wait, no, I don't care. This is worth $10/tiny bottle - it's perhaps the best coffee stout I've ever had (next to BCBCS). I need more, period.

Pours opaque black with a 1/2 inch tan head that settles to a thin film on top and leaves spotty lace.

The smell is dominated by spent coffee grounds with a hint of vanilla.

The taste is of bitter black coffee, espresso, faint vanilla and dark fruit accents.

The texture is thick and syrupy with medium carbonation.

Strong coffee flavor and aroma with vanilla accents. Pretty straightforward but, very good.
