11.2 oz. bottle

Pours opaque pitch black with a frothy brown foam head. Smells like rich woody dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, black cherry, fig, plum, black grape, some molasses, dark caramel, brown sugar, oats, vanilla, roasted malts, with earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like rich, woody, nutty dark roast coffee, dark chocolate pudding, black cherry, fig, plum, black grapes, molasses, dark caramel, charred brown sugar, vanilla, oats, roasted malts, with spicy earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy and smooth with low tingling carbonation. Overall a really great Vietnamese coffee imperial oatmeal stout.

Stellar black with a hint of brown near the edges in sunlight. The one quarter finger of head is rusty brown and dissipates immediately. Alcohol legs, and almost a stain of brown left on the glass.

Smells of big coffee, alcohol, black liquorice, and sweet, sugary notes of icing sugar.

Coffee, hints of liquorice, a solid sweet, and almost sugary, fruity notes. Its like those assorted black liquorice candies that come in multiple colours, only emphasising the black liquorice.

Thick, oily body, with thin, wisp like carbonation.

Been cellaring this one for a while. Got it on Wish beer, drinking in Chiang Mai, Nov 7th, 2016. Outstanding? The fact that it supposedly has Kopi Luwak in it makes it outstanding. I've had coffee Luwak from Indonesia on several occasions, both when I went to Jakarta, and by brewing the beans I purchased there. Nothing to make the actual beans distinguishable in the flavour in this brew. It is however a good, solid example of an Imperial stout just the same.

Extraordinary coffee and whisky (or cognac) in the nose, same in taste. Perfectly balanced sweetness and bitterness. Although it might not be one of the most original beers I've ever had, it certainly is one of the best.

L - pitch black with a thin brown lacing

S - Coffee coffee and coffee, Nothing overwhelming

T - Light earthy hops, coffee all long, really nice coffee by the way. Light oatmeal with not too much acidity, just good balance. Nuts

F - Smooth with a gentle carbonation

O - Great beer, nice balance. Not boozy at all. Certainly the best oatmeal stout I've had to date

Jet black and thick as 30 weight. Funky aroma. Extremely complex, coffee forward, chewy and strong. Massive stout with shitty aftertaste. Sipped it for hours.

This is shit! Weasel shit that is... Tastes great, nice and roasty. The fecal matter smell doesn't dissipate in the brewing process (but isn't that the point?) This beer will give you a shit eating grin

Clearly a strong, roasted coffee aroma, but also a strange earthy, radish aroma as well. Not necessarily off-putting, just odd. Some additional fruity notes that are reminiscent of chocolate covered cherries - the kind with liqueur inside. Nice ristretto flavor and dark, bitter chocolate. Solid body with only a slight touch of sweetness on the end. Excited to try the BA version.
