Poured from the 12oz bottle into a wine glass.

Appearance- Beer pours cloudy and amber with a hefty three finger head of foam that dies gradually and leaves more than ample lacing on the sides of the glass. Yeast gathers at the bottom in a stringy formation. Weird looking yeast.

Smell- Warrior hop is a most elusive hop and I love the smell of this animal. It reminds me of Three Floyds with all the fruitiness that it gives off. It smells nearly Belgian except for that spicy texture burning the nose hairs slightly. Malt is fairly balanced, I'm sure the yeast is also contributing to this great fruity smell.

Taste- Sweet and delicious, clearly something I would love to have in six or four packs or even in a larger bottle. This could be one of the best single IPA's I've had in my life. It coats the tongue with a rich malty sweetness and those warrior hops are just delicious. Fruity, estery, a bit cloudy.

Mouthfeel- A bit sticky, creamy, juicy, medium full bodied, medium low in carbonation.

Drinkability- The detractor on this drinkability is the mouthfeel and the price of it. I would love to have more, but at 5.99 a bottle, it's somewhat painful to buy many more.

Poured in a pint glass, rich amber color with thick head,at least two inches.
Earthy, bitter aroma that REALLY opened up after a few minutes. This beer seems to open up more and more inviting flavors of citrus, dried fruits, earthiness, caramel, brown sugar with a nice hoppy backbone to keep everything well balanced. Chewy mouthfeel for an IPA. IBU's are pretty high at over 100 according to the bottle but not an especially bitter hoppiness, smoother and more rounded mouthfeel and flavor. Loved this beer and this series is a great way to learn more about the flavors and nuances of single hopped beers. My first Mikkeller, but it won't be my last.

Wow, I ordered this when I was out, and I was very surprised. It poured just like an average IPA. Decent head and lacing. It is an opaque copper. Smells floral and grassy, and the hops are very pleasing. The taste is almost just as good. It's initially a bit malty, but the piney hops come in soon enough. The warrior is bitter, but it's a pleasant bitter. Carbonation is good in this beer, as is the thickness. The ABV isn't low by any means, but it's not so high to where you're limited to one or two glasses. I'll definitely get this beer again when I'm out.

Wow, what a beer! Bottle started foaming over as soon as I opened it. Towards the end of the pour I noticed some sediment at the bottom so I left that out for the tasting. Will gobble it after for the vit a mins. Poured with a slight two-toned color of light cream to tan thick foamy frothy head and good lacing. Color is a cloudy medium amber with sediment suspended. Aroma is very hoppy with caramel toffee malt. Flavor is the same plus a little citrus, leather, a hint of butterscotch pine and nutmeat. Great body and superb carbonation. The overall effect makes me want to gulp the beer. Nice medium long tapering finish. Lip smackin good!

A - pours a hazy deep orange nearly amber color. 1/2 inch white-ish head which falls but doesn't vanish. nice thick white lacing.

S - fruity and floral - definitely bitterness from the hops, but a solid sweet and malty tropical fruit aroma as well... maybe guava?

T - hops are key. bitter but well balanced with a strong malty smoothness. more guava notes. hints of bubble gum candy and sugar. some grapefruit. delicious.

M - great crisp carbonation with a very slight and pleasant oily slickness.

D - highly drinkable - delicious and refreshing. i would love to have another and then one more. :) going on my top 10 IPAs list for sure.
