A loud slappy pour builds a burnt mocha head over a glossy black body, fizzling out quickly to an uneven collar.
Casking immediately presents itself as woody char that's even a little smoky and ashy, pairing well enough with espresso and dark chocolate characteristics that suppress the less attractive parts of the woodiness. With time it becomes a little nutty and savory, while developing some spicy and peppery whiskey contrasts. Further on some hickory roasted marshmallow emerges.
The medium, lightly syrup body is quickly cut by a fine fizz that comes to a lightly sticky, semi-dry finish that's warming and tingly but not quite numbing.
While quite good, it doesn't come close to the excellence of the Last OG Trey.
