Pours into a half liter stein a ruby tinges mahogany with a very thin quick to fade light beige head atop, not much of a crown for a doppelbock although the color was ok.Caramel and raisin stand out most in the nose with a bit of toast and bitter chocolate underneath, the raisin stands out most.Sweet and syrupy with caramel and brown sugar playing a big role on the palate, some roast and bitter chocolate is there in the finish but that shot of dark fruit at the onset is the main flavor component that stood out to me.Not as thick as I like for the style but it's alcoholic and strong no doubt.

Dark brown color with brown head. Aroma has lots of dark fruits and brown sugar. Taste follows with dark fruits, coffee, cocoa and caramel. Medium body and carbonation. A really good doppelbock, one of the best of the style.

Enjoyed from the big bottle in a snifter. This triple bock pours a dark and muddled brownish mahogany with a thick head of tan foam that dissipates to a thick ring, nice pool, and very nice lacing. Nose of heavy raisin, brown sugar, moderately strong booze, and a touch of fresh bread. Flavors exceed the nose with raisins doused in dark brown sugars on the front, rum notes on the sides with warming booze, and a dark fruit note in the middle to back with cranberries and raisins mixing nicely with dark breaded notes. Nice medium to full mouth feel, medium carbonation, and a warming boozy finish that kicks hard after a few drinks. Overall an excellent triple bock that drinks pretty smooth and kicks like a mule...or a goat in this case. Excellent.

Cheers

Had this once before. Described on the label as a "trippelbock holy ale". 750ml opened for the first snow/probably the lowest temp of the season so far.

A - Pour to a big ol snifter reveals a dark reddish-brown beer and a few fingers of beige head. Very impressive retention and lace, especially for the ABV. And quite a nice color to boot.

S - Rum-raisin, roast, molasses, dark bread, bit of chocolate, bit of alcohol.

T - Sweetness and alcohol come through a bit stronger here, muddling it up a bit. Pretty intense with the dark fruit and molasses bring on a fruitcake feel, yet still a fair bit of roast persists, some earthy spice notes, toast and tobacco as well.

M - Very viscous and smooth with pretty nice swishy carbonation. Big without quite being heavy. Sweetness+booze can be a bit tolling but for 11% this doesn't drink too bad.

O - I can get wary of high-octane doppelbocks i.e. triplebocks, for those this is pretty good. It's a beast, but it's surprisingly drinkable, has a decent amount of complexity going on, and a pretty notable mouthfeel. Toned down sweetness would be nice though.

A: The beer is very dark reddish brown in color. It poured with a short light tan colored head that has good retention properties and hardly died down.
S: Light aromas of dark fruits—raisins seem to stand out in particular—are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of raisins along with strong notes of chocolate malts. Notes of cocoa also become noticeable as beer warms up.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely tastes strong from the nasty and fruity base, but does a very good job at masking its alcohol.
