Didn't see the vintage indicated on the bottle.
A - Pitch black with almost no head. Carbonation appears very low.
S - Huge char, vanilla and rum aromas with some cocoa and molasses notes.
T - Charred oak, vanilla and molasses notes dominate. Come cocoa and roast notes are secondary flavours. The ABV is well hidden. A light rum presence is noticeable but not as dominant as I would have guessed. A light coffee flavour is also present.
M - Medium body and FLAT. The lack of carbonation made this beer almost undrinkable and it became a drain pour after a few sips. Disappointing.

Enjoyed while watching the Florida @ Florida State game during Rivalry Saturday! Served from bottle into a Mikkeller Teku (proper!). Poured pitch black with a minimal tan head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, roasted malt, wood, sweet alcohol, charred malt, subtle dark fruit, and subtle coconut. The flavor was of sweet malt, smoke, dark chocolate, dark fruit, wood, sweet alcohol, and coffee. It had a heavy feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall pretty decent brew. I have had a few rum barrel aged stouts that I have really enjoyed in the past so I went into this one with high hopes. However, this one fell just a little short unfortunately. The rum presence was there in the aroma with the subtle coconut note, but was nowhere to be found on the flavor. The coffee was really the dominant/lingering aspect taking place on this one. Wish the rum would have pounded my palate on this one. Still a good brew that I would suggest trying fresher than I have.

Thanks to my brother for sending me this bottle. This is the final beer in the Black Hole series that I needed to try.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt, with hints of rum and oak mixed in. The flavor is heavier on the rum, with the barrel aged notes of oak and maple thrown in. I also get a nice amount of roasted malt and molasses. The beer is fairly sweet overall and the alcohol is nicely hidden. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
