Thanks to pitasoup for sending me this beer.

Poured into a New Holland flute glass. Thick inch and a half of creamy tan head that dissipates down to an eight of an inch of persistent thick carpet with little to no lacing on the glass.

Apparently the CASA stands for Cranberry American Strong Ale. Color is indicative of cranberry juice, slightly cloudy with a dark red tint. Aroma is of holiday spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cranberry. This reminds me of the cranberry salad my family would have at Thanksgiving and X-mas. Mouthfeel is very light and wet on the finish. A beer that could easily be handled after a heavy fest. The cranberry flavor is gentle but tart. This plays well with the spice and malt background. The high alcohol can be felt as a warming sensation but not overly powerful when you drink the beer. A couple of these could really sneak up on you.
