2010 Vintage. 750mL into a tulip glass.
A - Pitch black, rocky brown head with good retention and nice lacing.
S - Dark chocolate, very fruity (raspberries, blackberries) and spicy (clove, cinnamon).
T - Lots of roasted and chocolaty character to it. Some spices.
M - Amazing creamy mouthfeel, showing up the oat added to it. Alcohol and hop seem to have mellowed with time.
O - Perfectly balanced and delicious beer. Another amazing brew from Mikkeller which aged very well, though it was kept at room temperature.

A - Dark brown-black with a finger of frothy khaki-chocolate colored head. Fades fairly slowly.
S - Roasted chocolate and caramel malts, roasted coffee, black licorice, molasses, vanilla, and a bit of booze.
T - Dark chocolate and a bit of caramel malts, a hint of dark fruit, some roasted coffee, some earthy and citrus hops, candi sugars, black licorice, vanilla, a bit of smoke, and a bit of booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a sweet, roasted, and warming finish.
D - Nicely balanced Baltic Porter. Good body and mouthfeel.

750 ml C&C bottle with gold foil into snifter, 2010 bottle(I think). Pours pitch black color with an impressive 3 finger dense tan head with insane retention that reduces to a nice cap that lasts forever. Tons of nice soapy lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of huge orange, grapefruit, pine, floral, and spicy hops; with some roasted malt, caramel, light fruits, chocolate, and apple. Super hoppy aromas here, not what I was expecting at all. Taste of huge dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, smoke, coffee, molasses, citrus, pine, and spiciness. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of big dark chocolate, caramel, smoke, and coffee on the finish for a bit. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very creamy and lush mouthfeel. Alcohol is pretty much invisible, hardly any warming after the finish. Overall this is an interesting and tasty Baltic porter with huge robust flavor and easy drinking.
