Unknown vintage; drank 12/18/14 @ World of Beer Evanston.

Hazy orange/red hue.

Minimal off-white head; nice lace.

Inviting strawberry & wheat nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Strawberry candy flavors up front, with a strong (but not puckering) sour finish.

This tastes like a pleasantly tart Luden's cough drop...great in small doses!

this beer is pro, and the whole series has been epic, but this one offers something unique. i think drier, more carbonated, and as funky as it is sour, compared to others. my one problem with it, if i can fairly call it that, is that it isnt necessarily distinctly red currant on the fruit side, if you said it was a mix of cherries and raspberries i might not know the difference. where the red grape was so positively red grapes, this one is more generic fruit, but thats not the point here i dont think. as a wild ale, its as good as they come, with a pinkinsh red tint to a rather clear brew. heady and white froth in one glass, almost still looking in the other, i dont all the way get it. tangy funk to the nose, fruity only a little, more a lacto oaky maturity and acidic sourness. so sour, but still bretty too, is this blended? how old is it? i need more information because i want to make beer this good. fuller bodied too than i remember the others being, which is a nice treat. sours never feel like this one the palate. overall this is incredible, the fruit is just unique enough to make this crazy memorable, and has a perfect mix of sweet and pucker. world class wild beer, nothing like this series, it deserves more attention.

Had on tap at Mikkeler Bar in Copenhagen today. Bright ruby red in the light. Strking, attractive appearance. Low head retention...characteristic, but nice lacing in the glass. Good funk with brettt and nice blend with dried fruit in the nose. Deep rich tart fruit. Understand it is currants but seemed to pick up some sour cherry as well. Spot on mouith puckering, but carbonation was soft and restrained on tap. Just a beautiful beautiful beer. Highly recommended.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of grapes and red currants, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is fairly sour. I get some tart red currant and other dark fruit notes, with a light amount of biscuit malt and a light amount of vinegar. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Very nice.

Sort of an amber colored beer with a small off-white head. A strong rubber aroma to begin with. Grass and oak along with grape and currant aromas. A moderate tartness, mostly lactic acidity. The flavor is sort of mediocre. Lightly tart with heavy fruit flavors of currant and grape. Some of the same rubber and plastic notes that were present on the nose. Not as good as most of the others.

A-Pours a hazy pink amber hue which leaves a two finger creamy that stays and leaves heaps of lacing.

S-Barnyard funk, vinegar, sweaty must and sour grapes.

T-Sour grapes, barnyard funk, lemon zest and finished with a mix of sour white grapes and sherbet.

M-Sour sweet, mouth puckering, light bodied and finishes very dry.

O-Its not bad and the high ABV is well hidden but ive had way better lambics to be honest and probably would not revisit cheers.

The beer is slightly hazy deep orange, has an off-white head that leaves little lacing and small curtains.

The smell has a sweet sourness to it, like apple vinegar with sugar added.

The taste has an upfront sweetness, then sour red berries, some rhubarbs.

A small carbonation, very small bubbles, fresh texture, a medium body, a sry sour finish.

A very decent lambic, a clean mice acidity, well and moderatly balanced with sweetness.
