Enjoyed this 12 oz bottle out of a large snifter glass.

A: Pours a copper hue with a thin white head that quickly dissipates leaving a decent trail and semi wispy lace.

S: Sweet malty aroma – almost barely-wine like with a decent hoppy profile.

T: Strong alcoholic malty flavor – again reminding me of a barley wine, slightly hoppy – but more malt than hops.

M: Heavy body and medium carbonation

O: Decent brew – more balanced to the malt than hops

A: Slightly hazy amber in color. Forms a thick off-white head. Good retention. Moderate lacing.

S: Fairly aromatic with lops of hops and a noticeable bit of alcohol. Primarily citrus and grapefruit with a little pine in the mix.

T: Much like the aroma. Starts off with a moderate sweetness then lots of grapefruit and some pine. Moderate bitterness. Alcoholic burn on the finish.

M: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Appreciable alcoholic burn.

O: Well, this one certainly lives up to the name offering both a good deal of hops and a strong alcoholic burn. Enjoyable and dangerously drinkable for anyone who likes high ABV and large quantities of hops.

Cloudy gold colour, smells like peaches, floral hops, citrus hops, and malty. Slightly alcoholic aroma. This is a heady flavourful beer and well balanced. Sweet heavy fruity malts phase into predominant floral and citrus hop followed by a strong alcohol peak. Lingering floral hops on palate. A very sippable beer.

Would I buy it again? Probably.

Pours a slightly hazy dark golden orange with a slight amber hue an d a thin layer of foam.

Orange, lemon, peach, mango and overall just very tropical in aroma.

The citrus and tropical fruit flavor comes through, but this pretty hot and boozy.

Medium-bodied, low carbonation, resinous, boozy.

Overall, great aroma nice flavor but a tad too much alcohol heat.

Reviewed from session notes.

Pours out a hazy golden orange color with two fingers of rather stable foamy head on top that leaves behind medium amounts of lacing on the glass.
Smells mostly like pink lemonade because of all the citrus peel and floral character turned up to eleven on the nose, with some minor green leafy hopping appearing as the glass warms.
Tastes of caramel, pine, and grapefruit in good balance with plenty of oranges, lemons, and limes in about equal measures with each other. Slightly sweeter than a typical west coast American IPA for a reference point, but that's OK because it really helps the juicy citrus elements to 'pop'. ABV is well hidden, finish is an extended caramel and resin duet fading out nicely for a long while.
Texturally, it has a somewhat less 'full' body than most IPAs but that never becomes a problem. Soft carbonation keeps things creamy but not quite as crisp as I would have liked in some swallows...but this is a minor nitpick.

This is my second beer to try from Mikkeller.

It pours a really thick and hazy orange and slightly reddish color with a little bit of white head.

The smell is very hoppy of course and it's followed by some strong mango, apricot and pineapple notes.

Taste wise is exactly like the smell; a lot of hops throughout, a nice amount of the fruits already mentioned and a bit of an alcohol burn that isn't masked unfortunately.

Overall, another great beer by this brewery and I want to try more.

Pours a big hazy tangerine with a massive off-white head. Nice lacing and beading. Pretty much everything about this is reminiscent of a Hopslam in my mind - big balanced pine and citrus, subdued booze undertones, with an exceedingly bitter afterbite. The beers drinks as easy as it can given the style. A tasty beer but, given the price, this is likely a one-time purchase.
