Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of super piney and resinous hops with humongous notes of tequila. Taste is also dominated by loads of piney and resinous hops with some notes of boozy cheap tequila which are not really harmonious. Body is quite full with good carbonation with way too much apparent alcohol. Awful beer with way too much tequila notes which isn’t the best alcohol to use for barrel-aging IMO.

Picked this up at my favorite beer store in Belgium, Dranken Geers. Dark brown-black pour with nice tan colored two finger head that fades quickly with almost no lacing. The nose is amazing. Did not expect the tequila to be so prominent, but it's huge. Nicely complemented with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and oak. The taste is dominated by the tequila as well, but to the point where it's overpowering. There are subtle hints of chocolate, oak, and vanilla, but the tequila stomps all over them with a boozey, bitter bite that just doesn't do it for me. The mouthfeel is slightly oily and flat with a tangy, boozey finish. I'm a huge fan of Black IPA's and Mikkeller, but this does not do the style justice and is one of their weaker offerings. Admittedly, I'm not a tequila fan at all, so that may play into my disappointment. Won't be revisiting this beer...

Drank from my Duvel Tulip

A - Pours a deep mahogany colour with a tanned head that reduces to a film.

S - Plenty of Tequila, vanilla oak and booze.

T - Up front some nice vanilla malt followed by some intense Tequila and closed out with some nice chocolate, vanilla and toffee flavours. Yje tequila comes in again at the finish.

M - Medium to full body and low carbonation.

O - One of the most intense beers I have tried, if not the most intense. The power in the flavour is awesome and it works well. A must try.

Its gonna be interesting trying this as im not the biggest fan of Tequila but still thought id try it and it pours a dark as night black hue which leaves a two finger chocolate laced head and heaps of lacing, the smell is mainly tequila with hints of chocolate and oak,the mouthfeel is medium bodied and reminds me of sculling tequila with obviously strong tastes of tequila and i mean strong with also some chocolate, oak, coffee, boozy alcohol and once again the tequila rears its ugly head in the finish to make itself known from start to finish and overall for me i could not drink this again with the tequia being as strong as it is and to be honest very dominant too dominant for me but if you love tequila black ales then this is you but definately not me cheers.
