Poured into a Due South Brewing Co. snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a clean medium golden color with a 1/2 inch white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a tiny center patch of bubbly surface foam. Not-so-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Musty yeast and mild hop character with a wheat template.

T- Tame flavor of wheat with some lemony hop character and low bitterness for the style.

M- Slightly crisp feel with medium carbonation. Not a lot of body leading to a watery consistency.

O- More of a hoppy wheat than a full-on IPA. Decent for its drinkability, just unfortunate that it costs so much.

Edit: Didn't even realize there was Brett in this until I finished my review and took another look at the label. I guess that explains the mustiness but I never would have guessed.

Poured from a 500ml can a lightly hazy gold with a fluffy white two inch head. You get plenty of Brett on the nose and all the citrus hops you want from an IPA. The taste follows. This brew is perfectly carbonated for me. This was my first Brett IPA. Delicious!

16 oz can. Hazy light gold, head fades to a ring that lasts. Citrusy hops n Brett funk in the nose. Taste is similar, starts citrusy then mild funk that carries thru the swallow. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Not bad for a funky IPA.

Light gold body, hazy beneath a great white head... Aromas and flavors of cracker and pale, faded fruit; herbal and earthy, a bit grassy, with a mild funk of brett just underneath. Medium body and soft, with ample carbonation.

A 200ml pour on draft at Mikkeller Bangkok into a mini stemmed wine glass.

Appearance: A slightly hazy golden yellow colour with a two finger white head with decent retention and nice clingy lacing.

Aroma: Brett funkiness with a mix of tropical pineapple, mango and citrus lemon, grapefruit aromas.

Taste: Fruity much like the aroma with mango, pineapple, orange and grapefruit, whereas the brett here brings a tart and leathery element.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with high carbonation.

Overall: This was very nice and balanced and very easy to drink. If I could get my hands on some bottles, I would definitely pick up a few.

Have had this many-a-time in the past in many-a-format: Mikkeller version, Grassroots version, 375ml bottle, 330ml bottle, tap, chardonnay version. Now here's another one: 500ml can. Best by date of 8/26/17 printed on the bottom.

A - Initial pour to a pint glass is 90% white foam, dark yellow beer with a bit-o-haze is quickly revealed. By the end a full cap remains and some lace is left.

S - The scent is a bit on the faint side, perhaps tough to get at through all the foam. Definitely brett-forward though with dirty farm, peach, lemon, earthy and grassy tones coming through.

T - Hop+brett combo is pretty harmonious here. Grapefruit, orange, peach and grass coming to mind the most, earthy brett and light funk is there but actually winds up on the tamer side. The wheat is noticeable here too which is nice, some toasted biscuit in the finish.

M - Nice mouthfeel, full-bodied, sorta dry finish, carbonation and bitterness on the highish side. A pretty great blending of hops/brett/wheat overall, though hops seem to have the upper hand. Maybe a tad on the heavy side for 6% but quite drinkable and refreshing.

O - Overall this is a pretty nice bretty IPA, better than I remember from past experiences too. Works well in the new tallboy format, decent amount of flavor and pretty solid all-around. Good example of brett+hops working together for sure.

Pours with an absolutely huge head that lingers forever. Beer itself is a hazy pale yellow. The nose is a bit grassy hop, slight pepper, and some definite brett funk. Taste is creamy smooth and mildly sweet wheat up front, this fades to a bit of mild piney hop and then just a touch of hop bitterness on the afteraste. This beer is exceptionally smooth and has a lovely lingering moderate hop bitterness. The brett is subtle here and compliments the wheat and grassy hops well.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 5/20/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light funk, floral, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of floral/piney bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, pepper, hay, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt flavors; with a crisp malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High amount of dryness from carbonation and bitterness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Brett IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
