apparently not retired, unless the 100312 number on the cap is the date it was bottled and, hence, sitting on the shelf at Hacienda Beverages for the last few years?
beautiful, creamy chocolate-milk topper..... smell is mocha and espresso.
some pine and bitterness in the creamy lactose-flavored liquid. a little thin. some mocha in the flavoring and little sweet.
overall, decent and typical of what i know Mikkeller to be....

Tasty milk stout. Very smooth. Sweet start to beer. Not too strong of a stout flavor. Exactly what I want in this style of beer. Very good. Would buy again.

Pours a black color. 3/4 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, slight alcohol, hint of pine, and a lactose sweetness. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong sweet malt, strong lactose sweetness, roasted malt, alcohol, slight hops, and a hint of pine. Overall, a more balanced Milk Stout than I'm accustomed to having, but the hops and pine did not distract from the style.

Pours with a thick head. Smells of roasted malts and semi-sweet chocolate. Taste is very similar to smell with additional sweetness from lactose. Finish is slightly bitter.

Sampled last night on 5/21/15. Comes in a 330ml (11.2 ounce) bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees and poured in to a "STORZ" 12 ounce snifter glass.

Brew pours a pitch black in color with a good 2+-finger foamy beige head that lasted a bit before settling down to around to about 3-4mm. LOTS of sticky lacing was seen after each sip. The aroma is of dark roasted malts with a hint of sweetness. The taste is close to the aroma with a very light hint of chocolate, unlike many other Milk Stouts. Also present is a hint of coffee. Does have a bitter finish unlike many of the other same style brews I have had in the past. Not as thick as others also. When it warmed up from the cooler it was actually better but still had a bit of a harsh finish, but still wasn't bad overall. Medium-bodied with perfect carbonation.
