Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of red wine and tart notes is dominant. Taste is also dominated by red wine notes with tart notes and light oak notes easily noticeable. The actual stout base beer is harder to distinguish with light dry roasted malt faintly discernible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed but tart stout is not really a style that I find overly enjoyable.

A wild stout aged in red wine barrels a first for me and pours a very dark kola hue with a khaki two finger head that stays and stays with also nice clingy lacing everywhere, the smell is Brett, red wine, dark chocolate and cocoa, the mouthfeel is full bodied and moderately carbonated with hints of dark chocolate, sour funky Brett, dark fruits, the slightest touch of cocoa and finished with a red wine tartness and overall a totally new venture for me but I like it the sourness and chocolate actually work quite nicely together cheers will buy again cheers.

On-tap at Torst in Brooklyn. Brewed by Mikkeller and Stillwater, this is a stout brewed with brett and aged in Brunello barrels.
Beer is black with a small tan head that quickly fades. Decent lace.
Nose is tart. Brett, cherry. Vinous, with dark, juicy fruit, Some grape and oak.
The beer is fairly sour, with the brett quite present. Vinous, red wine flavours. Oak. Not much in the way of typical stout flavours- there is a bit of roasted malt, but not a lot.
Surprisingly light bodied- very thin for the style and ABV. Low carbonation.
Overall, quite interesting and good.

Pours black with a tan head.
Lots of funky brett on the nose along with some roasted malt and cocoa. The red wine is subtle. A little oak presents itself.
Same story in regards to flavours. Funky brett, a fair bit of roast, some acidity and booze. Pretty moreish stuff. I'd like more malt sweetness though.

On-tap at Cask Pub & Kitchen, poured into one of their signature halfpint goblets. Big thanks to His_Royal_Hoppiness for this one.
A: Black body, brown highlights. 1/2" of ultra-fine tan head. Good retention and lace. Quite attractive.
S: Hugely vinous, with rich, deep, fruity red wine dominating. Dark fruits, spice, and mild oak. Enthralling.
T: Sweet, slightly tart, and deliciously winey. So much grape, cherry, currant, and spice. Some vanilla oak, too. The finish has just a hint of roasty bitterness, but this is all about the barrel.
M: Nice lively carbonation in a medium body. Good.
O: Crazy, delicious beer - definitely the best I've had from Mikkeller. The Brunello barrel delivered huge, amazing red wine flavor that complemented the substantial base beer beautifully. Wonderful.
Cheers!
