This one made me nervous... it was on the two for one rack at a liquor store in River Falls - I believe I grabbed one because I was hoping to start building a little more depth to my sour collection. I've since learned that I should stay away from heavily brett'd beers like this one.

The cork practically shot out of the neck as soon as I touched it - the beer didn't gush, but on pouring, the carb is so strong that I barely poured a finger of beer before the head was streaming over the edges of my glass. All I could smell was brett. There is no distinguishable fruit, tartness, or sourness to this beer. It's all brett, with a slight bit of cardboard.

I think it was on that discount shelf for a reason.

Nice yellow and chunky brett appearance going on, head swells up to 1/3" but quickly recedes. Lots of white wine barrel funk notes, enjoyable .

Taste imparted more white wine funk, lots of brett. Not acidic. Definitely came off as Anchorage stuff moreso than Mikkeller. Damn if they aren't two of the most expensive breweries around though. Pale malts, hardly any bitterness or hop character. Carbonation on point, even though as soon as I loosened the cage, the cork blew right out the top of it. Far more funky than sour.

Would bang again.

Pale orange appearance with a thick, soapy head. Floral, grassy, earthy hop aroma with lots off pleasant brett funk. Flavor is much like the aroma. Assertive yeast funk well matched against spicy, floral hop and pale malt backbone. Well balanced. Medium bodied. Creamy feel. Well carbonated. Dry finish. At first the funkiness was too much but it grew on me. Very enjoyable beer.

Thanks to rudzud.

Huge fizzy head hits multiple fingers and fades fairly quickly, messy lacing, mostly clear orange honey color.

Nose brings lots of funk, horse hair, mild barnyard and some tangy sour fruit, phenols, mostly just Brett, earthy must, little dankness, just Brett B all over.

Taste brings a weird bitterness, so much funky Brett B, horse blanket city, just straight horse blanket barnyard funk, almost undrinkable, phenolic mess, chemical bandaids as plastic, bleh, totally undrinkable.

Mouth is med bod, little slimy, way too much carb.

Overall horrible.

Shared with JLindros. This bottle popped loudly when I barely touched the cork.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear amber hue with an enormous four finger fluffy head that fades to leave sticky lacing and sudsy blanket.

S - Aromas of acidic funk, floral, earthy, little musty. Lots of brett galore.

T - Taste is absolutely opposite of the nose. Gone is the floral and earthy notes. Rather phenolic, lots of bandaid. Borders on undrinkable.

M - Mouthfeel is aggressively carbonated, way too much.

O - Overall this beer was horrific. Plain and simple.
