On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Pale golden with a off-white head. Light sourness, with motes of lemons, oranges and peaches.

375ml bottle. Why are Mikkeller's labels always just a bit 'off', as it is here, with the gentleman carrying an over-sized slice of peach, which appears to be slathered in ketchup?

This beer pours a hazy, medium golden amber hue, with one skinny finger of weakly puffy, tightly foamy, and faintly bubbly dirty white head, which leaves a bit of island profile lace around the glass as it steadily recedes.

It smells of funky, kind of fruity yeast, peach vinegar (were that a thing), grainy breakfast cereals, a bit of dry white white acridity, and lemony, somewhat grassy hops. The taste is still quite tart, in a mildly funky, orchard fruity sort of way - peach, apricot, cherry, and some ripened apples to boot - a touch of wet cheese from the yeast, hard water, and muddled leafy, earthy hops.

The bubbles are fairly obtuse and hard to really take seriously, the body a sturdy medium weight, and more smooth than I might have imagined, given my experience with the previous incarnations of this offering. It finishes quite dry, still, the denuded peach and other stone fruit carrying on, as the yeast and its attendant funk drops off like a rock cast downstream.

While this is still a fairly tart rendition of the line of 'Spontan-' lambic apers from this brewery, somehow this one falls a tad flat, the guest fruit perhaps not up to the acidic levels of its orchard brethren. Good, I suppose, but hardly worth the stiff shelf tag around these parts, I gotta say.

On tap. Clear golden copper color with no head. Aroma has apple vinegar, fermented stonefruits and some yeast funk. Taste is tart, funky, not too acidic, fruity, really easy drinking with a light bitterness on the finish. Light body with medium carbonation. A really nice lambic style sour.

375 mL bottle. Light haze to an orange body. Smell is intense. Peach. Oak. Acidity is intense, as is its funk. Cheese and some bile smells. Difficult to get past. Taste is not as gross. Peach is less pronounced, as is the sourness. Very yogurty. Some oak and some lingering funk and cheese. Medium low carbonation. Medium body. The very off-putting nose doesn't bleed into the taste, which I appreciate, but the taste still doesn't have enough payoff to justify how odd it smells.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a light orangeish color, with a minuscule head and no lacing.

Smells like tart overripe macerated peach, bitter oak, and a sort of herbal thing I can't place. Slight stinging sourness on the nose.

The peach character here is nice, tart and juicy, but the finish is all herbal and woodsy bitterness, it feels oddly earthy. There's a bit of oak and damp funk. If the bitterness was tamed, this would be more successful. It's not super sour.

This is light bodied, with a normal level of carbonation.

An interesting beer. I enjoyed drinking it, but the bitterness was off putting.
