Served as a 6 oz. sample at ABC. The color was golden, with a nice wispy white head. The smell was a lighter hoppiness. The taste was a nice Saaz hopping, creating a good balance with the malt. Mouthfeel was average. As for drinkability, this is one I could have several of.

Another solid beer at ABC. A nice pilsner, with a good Saaz hopping, and a nice change of pace to have a Czech again. Definitely one I hope to have again.

Pours a bit darker (light copper) than most pilsners I'm used to. Had a thin head that laced to the finish. Tasted similar to other pilsners I've had, but seems to have a deeper malt taste. Finishes slightly bitter and hoppy. Great carbonation. This only comes out in April, but I would love to have available all year. Definately a good session beer at this moderate alchohol level. Proof positive that you can brew a good beer without an "in your face" alchohol content. Finally found a place in the Philly area to carry this breweries beers.

Appalachian's Peregrine Pils delivers a bold, malty and hoppy delight. It pours a deep-golden body beneath a short head of white foam the steadily subsides to an average collar leaving thin strands of lace about the glass. Grainy malt dominates the nose, peppered with hints of spicy and floral hops. The body is medium and it's gently crisp across the palate. A solid, bready malt greets you upfront in the flavor. It's immediately followed, however, by a burst of hop bitterness and wash of floral and spicy hops at the swallow. Some bitterness, malt, and floral hops linger in the aftertaste, but they never seem to build on the palate. A well-balanced pilsner!

On tap at the ABC Harrisburg.

Pours a clear medium gold with a thin brite-white head that retains well around the edges with some thin wisps across the center that left huge rings of lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma is a little subdued but mostly consists of light notes of floral hops and citric fruits.

The taste is sweet bready malts and citrus encapsulated by a fairly large bite of hop bitterness. I was a little surprised by how aggressive the hops are in this but no complaints here. The mouthfeel has a medium feel with a crisp bite to it.

One of the more solid seasonal offerings from the ABC, it packs a nice crisp flavor with a refreshing drinkibility. I'm always up for a couple when I see it on tap.

On tap at the Abbey Bar during the Justin Roberts show. Kids are dancing and I'm drinking…

A: The pils is a golden yellow color, clear as day. A head, or better put, no head comes with the pour. A thin wispy band is all that hangs out.

S: The aromas are hops, earthy, paired with biscuity pils malt. The grainy side is mild but sweet against the herbal hops.

T: The taste brings hops to the forefront but without a bitter finish. After the hops pop up, the light biscuit flavors see the beer through to the end. Carbonation is moderate, enough to be noticeable even without a head.

M: The mouthfeel is alright, aided by the carbonation. The hops add just enough on each sip to keep me interested.

P- ABC brewery from a buddy!

A- My first growler from ABC and it is a nice growler. beer pours a light yellow and clear hay color. A luscious head hits the top....3 fingers and leaves a beautiful lacing.

S- lemon grass. A nice citrus complement to the grassy smell.malts and alcohol are faint but there.

T- malty biscuit and bready alcohol. an earthy and tangy sweet taste as well.

M- sweet and malty. Wheaty and grassy.

D- easy to put these back. I could down the growler tonight but will save some for tomorrow.

A hazy golden yellow with nice white head that dissipates quickly leaving a thin cap and good lacing.

Malt and hops, balanced more toward the hops, greet the nose.

Malt and hops bitterness in the taste.

Mouthfeel is fairly crisp and clean, but could use a bit more carbonation.

Good drinkability, again, nothing really wrong here. A little more clarity and carbonation would be welcome.

Poured a hazy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and good lacing.

The smell featured soft doughy malts and a notable noble hop.

The taste consisted of upfront round doughy malts and a nice spicy noble hop.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a very drinkable well-balanced pils.

Peregrine Pilsner....

Appearance-Gorgeous looking beer, pours beautifully into my pilsner glass. Solid gold with a huge two finger head, very appetizing.

Smell-Slighly hoppy aroma also some malts, grass and grain underlinings.

Taste-Subdued slighty grainy taste, finishes off dry and rather sparse, another sip gives me a little bit more hop touch, not bad.

Mouthfeel-decent stuff here goes down smooth although its really sparse at the end.

Drinkability-oh yeah, at 4.7% percent you could quaff this all day long, decent pilsner.

Overall-good summer seasonal, light drinking pilsner that is welll made, won't knock you over, but not every beer has too. A simple, easy-drinking beer, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pours a clear straw-yellow color with very dense and thick foamy white head and good sticky lacing.

The scent is mostly of grain and light spices.

The taste is overall very light. Very light hop presence, some light spices.

Light bodied, pretty smooth but kind of thin, perfect carbonation.

Very drinkable and refreshing though it didn't think it really had a lot of flavor, it was sort of weak.

This arrived with a foamy, bone-white head that showed real staying power. It was a crystal-clear, light yellow in color. The nose was very floral with a noticible scent of Saaz hops (one of the few varieties that I can recognize). The hops made all of the difference in this beer. It had a light, tangy mouthfeel. The finish was dry, hoppy, and lingering. Drinkability is high, especially in summer.

Appearance: clear golden yellow in color with a nice 1 finger head that lasted a while. No lacing develops.

Smell: floral and spicy hop bitterness with some hint of malts.

Taste: surprisingly nice malt base with the usual crisp saaz hop bitterness. Hints of grass and citrus are there on the edges.

Mouthfeel: light-medium in body. Lightly crisp throughout. Refreshing on the tongue.

Drinkability: extremely easy dinking and very enjoyable. Can be quaffed for hours. Nicely flavorful pils everyone should try.

Loved it. Loved it enough to buy a 12 pack to haul back to Maine.

Light gold color with fairly weak head retention.

But then, the other senses take over this review. Something sharp in the nose that will make you do one of those exaggerated eye-opens-wide faces that they put in so many TV ads for soap. Gets you ready for a delicious wallop of saaz hops. Juicy hoppy mouthfeel.

I wonder how many customers ask for something "light" and the server can snicker that they're getting a light colored beer that still has the potential to do in a few taste buds.

Aggressive in flavor and very very notable.

A tad cloudy and pours a deep golden straw color.
Has average carbonation and a smallish foamy head.
A nice aroma of malts that maybe is slightly spicey. Hops boquet is very weak as is the general aroma of the whole beer itself.
Has a nice malt taste weak but plesent, dry.
Hop bitterness is there with a pretty good bite.
A thin to medium bodied beer that is spritzy in the mouth with a dry.
Desent beer worthy of another shot.

Review from notes taken 5/3/10.

Served in an oversize mug, it appears a perfectly clear yellow color with a thin layer of white foam for a head. Not much retension and minimal spotty lacing left on the glassware. Aroma is fresh grains, somewhat biscuity with a touch of hops on te backend. Taste is a surprising amount of hops upfront with flavors slightly grassy and herbal. Light feel with minor prickly carbonation that is quite clean tasting overall with a crisp finish that leaves the hops lingering in the mouth.

part of sampler tray at the brew pub. Presented as light golden beer with perfectly white puffy head. Smell is crisp with notes of piney hops. Good crisp taste that is extremely enjoyable. Floral notes with citrus. Good crisp mouthfeel. One of their better beers.

Poured a nice sun kissed straw color with some very nice head and decent lacing. Excellent malty scent with a slight peppery nose. Good taste, a crisp and refreshing light lager with a nice pepper flavor, great sweet malty taste, and a nice noble hop finish to balance it nicely.
