This barley wine is decently barely taste thick and looks pretty much like their stout with a huge tan head. You can taste the sweetness in this beer and for the aroma you can smell that nice strong sweetness with a light mask of hops. When you drink this beer you sit back and appreciate this very smooth good tasting barley wine. You can any of the alcohol in it over the nice roasted maltyness. The Broadstreet Barleywine is a specialty that you need to ask for its availability. This is a good barley wine worth trying but beware it is strong. Too much with have you walking up to the state capital right down the street from their brew pub trick-or-treating on their front step trying to waste time until alright to drive
.(what a night).

Tastes like old raisins.
On top of that, they only serve you 2 at a seating in a sippie cup.
Yet I can drink any other beer in the Abbey bar till I fall of my barstool.
Bad management.

As I sit here drinking my 22 Oz. bottle, I am disappointed as I usually have this at the brew pub in Lititz, PA. Love the draught taste but this is just Ok and would not purchase again. My bottle says 10.9% ABV, and it taste and feels like 10.9%ABV. The only reason I bought the bottle is because they would not let me fill my growler with the draught. This has been their policy for years, and I don't know why. The draught version in my opinion is far better.
