look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25
Canned: 02/03/15
Appearance: pale, golden, yellow in color. Just a little bit of foam skimming the surface of the beer.
Smell: very fragrant and floral, not in your face. Smell mostly of pine with some citrus rind.
Taste: starts out bready, then it becomes hoppy and bitter. Dry throughout, with minimal malt backbone. What I love about this beer is the aggressive hop profile. For a 4.5% ABV session IPA, its outstanding! It doesn't compare to the standard IPA, but its beyond my expectations of session beers.
Mouthfeel: light-bodied and smooth. Perfect for a warm sunny day (or any other day)!
Overall: this heightened my camping experience out in California. It was only ten dollars for 16-oz. six pack and very tasty. I'm just hoping more and more breweries will start canning in 16 oz. rather than 12 oz. I hope to pick this up again when I'm visit the state.

Light bodied, huge pine/resin nose...not the best SIPA I've had, but good

Ratings are correct below, but I changed some marks above to make the final rating as correct as possible with Beer Advocate's "revamped" system. The 3.65 overall rating is correct.
Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: Trader Joe’s in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $1.50
Purchased: March 1, 2015
Consumed: March 1, 2015
Misc.: Canned on Jan. 9, 2015 at 11:25 a.m.
Poured a golden, pale, clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy, white head. Lots of slow-moving bubble streams coming up from the bottom. Above average, uneven, foamy lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Pleasant odors of sharp grapefruit, Citra, floral, Mosaic, Amarillo, tropical, tangerine and light pineapple. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted a lot less flavorful than the nose. Definitely could tell it was a SIPA right away. Got Citra, Mosaic, tropical, vegetables, onion, light mango, faint grapefruit pulp and some watery pineapple. (Taste - 3.50)
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, watery, slightly bitter finish. (Feel - 3.25)
Not a fan of this one. This ranks at the bottom of the all the session IPA’s I’ve had (off the top of my head Day Time, Easy Jack, Go-To, All-Day, etc.). (Overall - 3.50)

Was rather excited to try this but.... Was let down. Lemongrass and malt that faded faster with each sip. Will revisit again...

Pretty light golden brew, slightly hazy, topped by a nice snow white head. Good retention, and very nice lacing.
Great, eclectic hop aroma: citrus and tropical fruit; rind and pith; slight herbal and floral undertones. Slight pale malt biscuit.
Flavor follows: light overall, hop-forward and juicy, with a slightly dank finish. Can still taste a nice presence of pale malt and grain, despite the low ABV and hop prevalence.
Very light and drinkable; lively; minimal sting; medium length wet finish.
This is a really good session IPA. It carries more heft and body than most, while still showcasing plenty of hops.
