Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.
2009 vintage.
Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, caramel, dark fruit, funk, acidic, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with sour malt, dark fruit, funk, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with solid aromas, but the flavors are slightly better in my opinion.
Serving type: bottle.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Deep brown. Almost black. Excellent head and seeming eternal retention.
Smell - You can still smell the roast malts back there. A little bit of vinegar acidity. Red wine vinous notes. Very nice.
Taste - Nice acidity. Very strong sourness. Dark cherry flavors. Red wine flavors, including astringency. A little bit of that porter comes through, too.
Mouthfeel - Overcarbonated. Nicely sour, almost too sour, but not quite over the edge.
Overall - Who knows what this tasted like fresh, but it tastes pretty damn good still.
