Pours a bright golden color, with a huge, rocky, white head. Very nice aromatics on this one: Spicy Belgian yeast, light candi sugar and fresh hops. On the palate, this one is very nicely balanced between California and Belgium. Possibly the best Belgian IPA I've had.

A: The pour is a nice golden color, sporting a huge white head which leaves minimal lacing on the glass.
S: There is certainly the Belgian yeast character coming through on the nose, as are some spicy and floral hops. A bit of sweet malt comes through as well.
T: Not exactly what I was expecting from a Pizza Port IPA (Belgian or not). Definitely a good bitterness, along with some spicy and floral hop flavors. A malty backbone presents itself as well.
M: The body is medium with a fairly high level of carbonation.
D: As mentioned previously, not really what you might expect from a PP IPA, but still not too shabby. I think I'd rather stick with one of their American style offerings, though.
