Yellow beer, thin off white head, average stuff. Aroma was citrus and wheat.

Grainy, seems like they dropped a lemon in it, but no. Bitter, good amount of hopping going on giving it substantial bitterness for a wheat beer.

PP spin on a wheat beer, as you'd expect.

Light yellow color pour, thin white head on it, stuck around for not being much to begin with, looks pretty much like your standard light bodied wheat beer so far. Aroma, uber mild citrus and wheat that comes across almost lager ester like yeast wise.

Taste, ok, we're getting better here, the wheat is a little grainy, the citrus is a little more bold, peeking its head out, lemon I'd say. Plenty of bitterness for a wheat beer, I'd guess this being a San Clemente Pizza Port beer, or just Pizza Port in general, that it has more than the average amount of hops in a wheat beer, and that is where the citrus and bitterness is coming from. The name is cooler than the sum of its parts I guess. A good beer to check out for someone in your party who wants a beer as light as can be, but I also think the slightly abrasive bitterness to the beer isn't going to jive with them, or style guidelines.

Not much head on the pint shaker. Flattish mouthfeel. Pale yellow color. Not inspiring to look at. Not much aroma.

Taste is the"perfumey" style, so different from the fruity and spicy esters in the German style. A little thin and sharp. Odd hint of orange marmalade. Grainy aftertaste with just a touch of bitterness. More flavorful than a lot of American wheats, but still in that pale and not very flavorful vein. Certainly drinkable, but I miss the creamy carbonation of the German wheat beers.

We had this on tap at the Ocean Beach location on Election night. Brewed at the San Clemente location according to the San Diego Beer Week information.
