Consumed March 21st, 2013 at Pizza Port Solana Beach, CA. Menu board lists ABV at 7.5%, not 6.5% as listed in the beer description here.
Clear, pale, light yellow. Foamy, sticky white one-finger head. not very "IPA" looking.
Aroma is floral with white grapes and very light.
Flavor is a dash of caramel at first, some sharpness in the midtaste and then some hard-to-describe bitterness lingers a while. Agreeable and long-lasting floral overlay on the finish. Some alcohol.
Slightly astringent and a little dry.
Made with all Nelson Sauvign hops, apparently. Not entirely awesome.

Clear, dark orange with a moderately-sized large-bubbled off-white head. Leaves regular, lined lacing down the glass. Very pretty IPA.
Very nice Nelson hop presence in the aroma: nice floral and grapefruit notes. Some bready sweetness emerges as well, but this is distinctly a Nelson-hopped IPA. It's not quite as expressive or interesting as Alpine's Nelson, but this does smell quite nice.
The Nelson hop characteristics flood the flavor as well: floral notes, grapefruit, and a bit of marijuana. Moderate bitterness. Incredibly drinkable. Crisp and dank flavors.
Medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation.
A great IPA to go with world-class anchovy pizza.

On tap at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA.
Pours a clear orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, and herbal hops. Taste is much the same with a herbal hop flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is fairly herbal hop forward.
