the quintessential surfer hangout. pizza port in Solana Beach is a low-ceiling, picnic table, order at the counter type of place with surf boards, ropes, and other random pieces of beach-esque objects hanging around. the catch: the beer is great and the pizza is even better.

atmosphere is explained above, with a bustling aura. this place apparently gets packed nightly, giving it a curiously intriguing atmosphere.

quality and service are on-par. beers are all served in tumblers, with friendly staff, and a general lack of excitement for great beer, but the beer and food make up for it.

selection is good. ten to twelve house beers with other various guest taps from souther California.

food is great. the pizza is why this place is well known and it definitely lives up to the hype. the Carlsbad is excellent!

overall this is a solid stop for beer and pizza, but only during off-peak times. patrons tend to wait in line for up to twenty minutes to get a single beer during peak times, which really demonstrates the problem with deli-style ordering and no waitstaff. check it out. cheers!

Good beer, decent pizza, college atmosphere. Somewhat noisy but fun. Kid friendly.

Staff is friendly. Whats so cool about pizza port is that all of the locations brew different beer. If you are lucky the person that brewed that beer. There are alot of beers that think should make it to canning like swamis or kooks did. All of the locations that i have been to have been packed full of people. The pizza was ok, not anything i would stand out to me. Very cool brewery. I would say that they take their beers seriously but they are not snobs about it.

Oh and the best thing about the beers that they brew there is that each beer has its own art that i believe is created by the brewer themselves. For example the original artwork for swamis is way different than what made it on the can. i wish they sold some of the art or made available on stickers. Good job guys!

The original! Funny thing is, it might be my least favorite. Vibe is awesome, its Pizza Port! Surf vibe, cool pizza and arcade 80s feel and shit. Its all wooden picnic tables inside, a row of plastic tables I think out front.

They don't seem to be as friendly, nor do they offer as good of a selection as every other PP location. Growler prices, especially refills are ridiculous.

This spot is all about the location and pizza.

Very good pizza and beer. Nice selection of their own brews and a number of other locals. Staff was very nice. To get beer or food you stand in line, which can get long. Place was very busy, but line went fairly quick.

I went for the beer; the vibe was loud and when they called out the food orders by name it was very loud. It has a just out of college type feel. They have sports playing on the TVs. The beer was really good and the server had an opinion and knowledge which was great. We had salad, wings and pizza to eat. I did not enjoy the pizza at the Port, it had doughy soft crust with tasteless cheese. My west coast friend love the pizza, but I did not. I recommend the beer and the wings.

I went to the Carlsbad location and loved it. Great tap list, service, and food.
