The color is that of a heavily used 8-ball with a lumpy, fuzzy tan head leaving spotty lace.

Smell and taste include cola, prune, nuts, coffee, cocoa, light maple and smoke. Feel is thin. Not much coconut.

Pours a jet black color with a massive light mocha hugely carbonated head. Had to wait 5 min for head to die down to even drink this. Aroma is big roasted malts with chocolate a hint of vanilla and a very faint coconut. Flavor is deep roasted / charred malts. You get notes of chocolate and vanilla but I don't get much coconut. The mouthfeel is tons of bubbles and carbonation. It costs the mouth in thousands of little bubbles. It's a nice beer overall but the insane amount of carbonation overshadows the good going on here.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass:

Look: Awesome jet black pour with a small amount of lacing present. Small amount of head present.

Smell: Huge notes of coffee, chocolate, and roast with a small touch of coconut coming thru.

Taste: Chocolatey, cocoa, coffee, roast, and hints of coconut.

Feel: Medium bodied. A bit on the thin side. About the only downside to this stout.

Overall: This is my first brew from Voodoo and it certainly won't be my last. This brew was great both fresh a few months ago and in this bottle that I aged a few months. Very solid breakfast stout!

The aroma offers sweet milk chocolate, coconut, medium roast, vanilla.

The flavor follows with straight up Almond Joy milk stout in the glass. Upfront is chocolate and the raw coconut inside of an Almond Joy. The coconut flesh flavor is aggressive onto vanilla, sweet milk stout flavors, milk chocolate. An intensely flavorful beer for its ABV.

Thanks again Tommyguz for the hookup on all things Voodoo. 12oz bottle poured into a matching Voodoo teku. The brew appears black in color with a khaki head that fades leaving spotty lace.

Aroma is slightly sweet and chocolatey with coffee and plenty of roast and earth. Not much coconut character to the nose outside of what I perceive as a bit more sweetness to the nose than what normal boc displays.

The taste is bitter and roasty with earthen coffee and bakers cocoa. Some pleasant char in this and mild sweetness pokes through with the faintest hint of toasted coconut. Slight herbal hop finish rounds things out.

This is medium to lighter bodied with modest carbonation. Im a fan of "normal" breakfast of champions so consider me in for trying every variation that comes out. While the coconut was not an assault of character like the peanut butter version, I enjoyed the subtle nuance of this iteration. Side note: the coconut really evolves in this as it warms up but never becomes too aggressive like you've been sprayed in the mouth with suntan lotion.

Pretty dark. Nit black. No head. Great toasted smell. Drinks more like a porter than a stout. Roasted malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall subtle coconut taste.

12 oz

Pours opaque black with a light tan lacing for a head.

Smells of rich cocoa, fresh ground coffee, coconut, vanilla, and brown sugar.

Tastes of cocoa, coconut, vanilla, and brown sugar. Finishes with a light coffee and cream and a woody dry bitterness.

Medium to thin body with a stinging carbonation on the tongue.

Very tasty with a great aroma, this is definitely worth a try if you can snag any of it. My gripe is that I always want more body from these stouts even with lower abv, and this is no different. Other than that, really nothing to complain about here and a real treat with just the right amount of coconut to make it something special.
